Diego Mario Buonanotte Rende (born April 19, 1988 in Santa Fe), is an Argentine footballer currently playing for River Plate. The diminutive (159 cm) playmaker made his debut as a 17-year old on April 9, 2006 in the win against Instituto (3-1).

In October 7, 2007, only one week after coming in as a substitute for the second time in his career and scoring his first goal at senior level, Buonanotte was picked by coach Daniel Passarella to start in the derby against Boca Juniors. River Plate won 2-0, with Buonanotte playing a key role in the victory. Buonanotte has since been included as a regular starter in the team. He was named by World Soccer Magazine as one of the '50 most exciting teenagers in the world game'.

Buonanotte came on as a sub for argentina in their third game against Serbia in the Olympics and he scored a golazo from a free kick.

Buonanotte is a small and agile player who plays just behind the main strikers.

9 cm shorter than Tevez?!!

Ok..... alright...

Hmm.... we shall see about it. :p

;)
CRO I appreciate your scouting work, as I had not heard of this player before. I don't think it would do this guy any good whatsoever to come to our club now, how would he get a game? We have loads of players who are great in the shadow striker role, Tevez Rooney Anderson etc etc. Those guys are all still young and getting better so I see no room in the squad for another player like that.

This guy reminds me of Saviola, he will be a great player to watch but he may not be up to the physical demands of the Premiership. He is five foot 3 inches in height, even smaller than Tevez. The english league is fast and physical so im not sure if he would make it in this league to be honest.

He would just sit in the reserves and end up being sold to a foreign club like what happened with Rossi. It is surely better for his development as a player to be playing first team footballer at River Plate rather than sitting in the reserves at our club.

My 15 year old sister is bigger than this guy LOL, the english league is fast and physical so I doubt he would make it in this league to be honest.
i know i was just a bit boring so i kinda started the new thread...of and your sister is probably taller than xavi and iniesta ( i know modric is and he is though to be short ) but that doesn't prove a thing

I know, i deleted that bit from the post.
We don't need anymore short players and we have rooney and tevez for his role, anderson and giggs too can play there. Plus when we get berba thats three to five players that can play in that same position anyway! ;)
he is a top player

i would love to have him at united
Seen him in the Olympic but it's probably the last position we need to strengthen in, we've got Tevez Rooney Giggs Anderson and Ronaldo who can all play this role, but no i wouldnt say we should get him, got technically though i'll give you that.
Wouldn't he be a good replacement for Scholesy ?? Okay he's short but **** it he can play football. Messi is short too but I doubt many of us would use that as a reason not to have him in our team.

I happen to agree that we should be picking up these lads when before they make a name for themselves in Europe i.e Aguero talk at the moment. Could a deal not be cut with most of the South American clubs where we might take the player on loan for 12 months possibly involving a nominal fee with a view to a permanent dela being struck should the initial period prove a sucess.
looks too weak tbh and haha scars by papa roach , dunno what language in though lol
Too small. 5"4. Would get absolutely raped on the Premiership
Buonanotte is great. He played for Argentina at Youth Tournament in Toulon...
He was one of the best players there...
Why has this thread been brought back? Its well over a year old,the layers probably dead by now.....Either way we haven't jumped the gun and grabbed him first.
The talk of Toulon has been young Argentine starter Diego Buonanotte, whose performances have thrilled for the Albiceleste in the opening two games of the tournament and it is he who is widely considered to be the difference between the South Americans and their opponents.
