Eric Djemba-Djemba, who made around £4 million from English football mainly during his time with Manchester United, has gone bust, it was revealed today by the Sun newspaperThe Cameroon international, is said to owe cash to former club Aston Villa and has been declared bankrupt.
His agent, Charles Collymore, stated that the 26 year old midfielder has had "an accumulation of problems over a long time".
Djemba-Djemba recently joined Qatar Sports Club in the Middle East this summer on it is believed around £2.5million a year.
This probably explains why it was always felt that the player was holding out for more money despite making statements he would have liked to have joined the Clarets. It certainly explains why the player seems to have jeopardised his career by going out to the Middle East.Money talks. What right minded Championship or Premiership club though will now touch him with a barge pole? Silly boy!!
