I haven't even been a member long and I've seen this thread countless time. Funny how almost every time the people who are bothered about this terminology are from outside of England. Most real United fans just don't care, it obviously isn't being used in that context now so what difference does it make.

To be honest I don't care how they call us but it's a part of our history.

Is the term "Man United" also an insult just because Oasis sing "Who The [email protected] Are Man Utd?" No, it isn't.

I think it should every true Red Devil know.

Whaaat?! You've just disproved your own point! If Man United isn't an insult just because someone used it in a bad light, neither is Man U!

I think every supporter should know the history of that term. For me personally, it isn't a bad term, it's just for everybody's knowledge about Man Utd.
Oh okay sorry then I misunderstood the point of your thread. If you were just educating people on the history of the term i have no problems with it at all :)
