Chris Eagles and Danny Simpson have enjoyed more first team action this season
than they anticipated. Not surprisingly it's left them wanting more...

How would you sum up the season so far from an individual perspective?

Chris: Things have gone a lot better than I expected. I set myself targets
every season and my main aims this season were to train with the first team on
a full -time basis and hopefully make it onto the bench a couple of times during
the first month. But I ended up being named a sub in all but one game during the
opening month and started against Sunderland, so things exceeded my
expectations. Now I just want to build on that and get as much first team
experience as possible.

Danny: Things have gone really well. Setting up Wayne Rooney for the
fourth goal against Wigan on my league debut was a great feeling. I've been
working really hard on my crossing and overlapping down the wing so it was
really rewarding.

You've both tasted success for the Reserves, but what would it mean to help
the club win major trophies?

Chris: Winning is the best feeling in the world. We experienced that with
the Reserves and gained a lot of confidence.

Danny: When you're on a winning run you never think about losing. It's
important to keep that winning feeling going. We hope to play a big part in
success for the first team. That's always been our ultimate aim and we're
determined to achieve it.

I've seen Eagles play for the reserves a few times this season and he looks like a great prospect.

His ball control, passing and shooting have improved remarkably in the last couple of years.

Danny Simpson has a real chance of being the long-term replacement for Gary Neville. I thought Phil Bardsley had a chance but that now seems unlikely.

Eagles indeed looks a prospect, perhaps he should hit the gym though, or at the very least take up the K4t fitness regime....

Simpson looks a good prospect also, he played well against Kiev, quite nervous, but nonetheless played well......With a some more first-team and reserve matches and more experience he could well be a long term replacement for Neville.....also he has a great chest....!!

I feel Simpson has more of a chance of breaking into the first team than Eagles. He's a full-back, and a very reliable one. And he's shown that in his performances in recent times. Nervousness won't be a problem really.

Eagles does have potential, but I find he can pretty inconsistent at times. Maybe time will improve him, I hope it will.

Simpson's gonna be nevilles replacement imo, he is pretty good from what ive seen of him in the reserves and in the first team. Eagles will just be a sub imo but he is still a good talent, i think lee martin will be quite good too in years to come! :)
