We have signed a young Norwegian,
most probably of Middle Eastern origin.
He's 16 and he plays for Norway U-17
I think.

Google News his name and you'll find some
news about him, naturally you'll have to
learn Norwegian first.

Personally I like the idea of having an Arab,
maybe even a Muslim, in our team.

After a bit of searching it turns out he's a left footed attacking midfielder. Whether that means he plays out on the left remain to be seen.

P.S. Check out this pic I found on Redcafe. A guy called Red Ghost was using it as a sig. I'll never get tired of all this Terry stuff.

Agreed. If United and Arsenal are rich now it's because they started
off as small clubs and slowly made their way to the top. I think I read
that between 1951 and 1956 Sir Matt Busby didn't buy one player,
amazing when you think about it.

Chelsea and Man City, credit to them for making it to where they were
prior to Abramovich and Shinawatra, but all they became after their
takeovers was due to money.

That's why I said I think.

It was actually between 53-57.

I wasn't born yet so I can't certify but I think a chap did some
research and found that.

I'm guessing he just recruited young players with no contracts
or promoted other ones.

Your right there Haggs, that's what Busby was famous for making big signings and promoting youth.

Am I the only one, that doesn't give a damn, about a players nationality or religion? Don't get me wrong, I'd like there to be a big portion of British players, given where the club is based, and from a personal standpoint, I'd love to see an American there (Spector, why did you have to suck?!? :()

If you can play, you can play. End of story.

No, you are wrong. We totally need to look at signing a Hare Krishna. I mean they have a higher state of consciousness.

By the way, kinda makes you realize why all of his posts are so retarded and like that of a monkey on a keyboard.

But I hope the kid develops into something.

Today British workers striked against "British Jobs" going to foreigners,
let's hope that doesn't happen at United. I'd rather we bought young
players than big buys but I'm not going to descriminate on the basis of
nationality or race. However, it is true that sometimes when a manager
has to chose between an English born and bred chap that might have
grown up at the club and a foreign chap who's trying to gain confidence
and find his feet he's more liable to pick the foreigner for a variety of
reasons.

Maybe its time for English people to realize they aren't God's gift to football. After all, your talent can't be that immense if you didn't qualify for the Euros. There's acres more foreign talent out there, mostly due to the fact, that there are 200+ more countries to get talent from aside from England, and its a global game.
