Hi I've just heard about the Premier League new regulations about the & subs .
here's a report from REUTERS:

Premier League clubs will be able to name seven substitutes in league matches next season, the Premier League said on Thursday.

Only three of the seven will be able to be used but it will give coaches more options when making changes. Currently three from five named substitutes can be used.

The new regulations gained a majority vote at a Premier League board meeting.

Glad to see that seven subs can be named now. One of the few good decisions from the FA.

Can only be of more benefit to the bigger clubs, but Fergue will be happy about it.

There were plenty of games last season where fergie should have given specifically Pique a chance to play, it was this failure that when we needed Pique when Vidic and briefly Rio were injured that we couldn call on him cos he wasnt ready!
I hope Martin, Gibson and Campbell get a good crack of the whip this year as its been too long since some1's really come through our youth system!

I actually think we should have 9 subs, and make a rule where 5 of them have to be from your youth acedmy.

I seem to remember Fergie saying he thinks there should be 11 subs aswell.

7 is much better than 5 though.

This has been known for months.

But it makes sense. Theres 7 subs in Scotland (though it works differently,) the Champions League and most other European nations.

Means that we can have more options on the bench, and maybe more young players can get the chance.

At last this rule comes in. It will give us more options than most other teams
cos of our superior squad. It also keep the players happier. It cant be easy to
hear you havent even made the squad for matchday.

It's about time we caught up with the other major leagues in Europe. As has already being mentioned, this rule change will give opportunities to young and British players who would otherwise struggle to make the bench.

From a United point of view, the options this gives the manager from the bench when we have a fully fit squad will be incredible.
