When did we realistically have a good attempt at winning it? Half assing some semi against Everton notwithstanding

When City beat us in the Semi final (because Rooney being banned for that game was ridiculous) If we'd have had Wayne we would have edged it.

It's funny how no one else in the history of everything was before, or has afterwards been banned for being caught swearing on camera. And how coincidental it happened to a United player weeks before a semi final against City, with an ex City chairman being in charge of the FA. Hmmm.
