Cesc Fabregas has played down praise and insists that he cannot be regarded as a great player.
The Spaniard has received praise from big names in the game including Barcelona manager Frank Rijkaard.
He has already scored 11 goals in 15 games this season and the departure of Thierry Henry has brought him to the forefront of Arsenal's foreign players.
Success
Sir Alex Ferguson suggested that Fabregas and other youngsters cannot be considered great players until they win trophies and the midfielder is quick to agree.
"Yeah he's right," he told the Sunday Times.
"I 100 per cent agree with him. I can't say I'm a great player. And I always say at Arsenal we're a very, very good side but not a great side.
"When we win something together as a group we can say we're great, but right now, we're just a good side."
Arsenal currently sit top of the Premier League with a game in hand over their closest rivals.
Trophies
Since joining the club in 2003 Fabregas' most memorable achievement was the FA Cup win against Manchester United in 2005.
The midfielder insists that only adding more trophies to his name will deem him a successful player.
"You've been successful when you've won trophies. When you've won European Championships, World Cups, Premier Leagues, Champions Leagues: then you can say you're a success," he said.
"Right now I can't say anything. I just have an FA Cup."
