Sir Alex Ferguson is not a man known for his forgiving nature, with many a player
finding himself transferred for getting on the Scot's bad side. His wrath isn't
exclusive just to players though, or even the fans who got slated on New Year's
Day, but to the media as well. BBC left Fergie seething after a programme
entitled “Fergie and Son†was aired, painting Jason Ferguson as a less than
angelic football agent. Since that day in May 2004, Ferguson has kept well clear
of the BBC, leaving Queiroz to take on all the post match interviews with the
television station.

At the start of this season, Ferguson reinforced his less than favourable opinions
about the BBC. “I think the BBC is the kind of company that never apologise and
they never will apologise. They are arrogant beyond belief,†he slammed. “They
did a story about my son that was whole lot of nonsense. It all made-up stuff
and ‘brown paper bags' and all that kind of carry-on. It was a horrible attack on
my son's honour and he should never have been accused of that. But it is such a
huge organisation that they will never apologise. They don't even care if you sue
them or whatever, because they are so huge and have insurance. They carry on
regardless and it's breathtaking.â€

It has emerged today however that it isn't just the likes of Beckham, van
Nistelrooy and the BBC who are in Fergie's bad books, as Sky Sports have now
joined the list. Today, Ferguson banned Sky Sports from the pre-match press
conference, ahead of United's home game against Newcastle on Saturday. It is
understand Sir Alex isn't happy with the way Sky presented his comments about
the fans, following our 1-0 win over Birmingham on the first day of 2008.

Sky Sports have shrugged off this ban as temporary. I wonder if the BBC were
thinking the same thing…four years ago.

Is Fergie getting too big for his boots? Or is he well within his rights to decide
who does and does not attend United's press conferences?

he's the protective godfather of one of the worlds best teams, best clubs, best of the best sir everything, i think he's just doing his job, he does it better than anyone, getting too big for his boots is a bit much, making a mountain out of a molehill i think-just like the media do, as is the case, fergie was portrayed as attacking the fans when in fact if you watch the vid and hear what he says, he graciously and in an unoffensive way gave his opinion on a concern of his that the crowd wasnt performing as they know it can, that was it, and he was right

why was fergie right about the crowd, you can't stand up to sing(ejected)you cant swear(most football songs)ejected,we are inundated with people thay don't know the songs BECAUSE the young working class man has been outpriced and can no longer afford to go regularly to the games. If you can not attend on a regular basis, how will you learn the songs?if you are a father and wish to take your son and educate him in all things united like your father educated you but are being priced out of it by corporate, jcl, day tripper, camera happy once a season supporters who only add to a dreary atmosphere, what can you do? saf may be the best manager that ever lived but he knows nothing about our LOYAL support he is a pawn in a corrupt empire and while i live and die united as my father and sons will do,we are finished support wise and ferguson ****ing knows it and he has a ****ing cheek to even talk to our support in that manner as he and the club and the yank debt ridden bastards who see it as a play toy have nothing at all in common with manchester uniteds LOYAL grass roots support.**** them, they dont pay £800 every year plus travel DO THEY!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is the top dog, alpha male. Dont **** with him. Someone has to take a stand before these half arsed reporters, who are only trying to make a name for themselves, sensationalize every fact.
do you even know what you are talking about? ferguson is a close to the supporters as the queen is to the palace roadsweepers,he's the alpha male? how naive/old are you,the club recorded massive profits 98% of which will go to pay off over £500.000000 debt,so really we made nothing, not even an interest payment so he's the top dog yea,if we finished outside of the top four with no trophies and no champions league/uefa spot(100.000000 loss) would he be the alpha male then? two years debt repayments down the drain,no he's fine for the glazers while were winning, otherwise he's becks/keane/ruud/whoever.example no one is bigger than mufc and certainly not where £500,000000+ of debt is concerned,so mate,no offence but i've been going since 72(with me old fella)don't try to give me your united ideals because you have neither the, history, experience nor intelligence to back up your arguments,ok.now i'm not here for a row or owt but i've no problem debating the current climate with you lad.

And a good morning to you Mr CorbyRed. ;)
Been shouting from the same soapbox since i got here,
http://www.manutdtalk.com/forums/man-utd-chat/5707-fans-furious-fergie.html
Can be a lonely place at times. Although there are some who are prepared to listen and not just heckle.
For most on here it's hard for them NOT to believe all they read/hear in the media as it's the only way they get to hear anything United at all.

PS, Justice is a 16 yr old lad, swapped some decent PMs with him, misguided in some ways but sensible enough to hear others points of view and no where near as blinkered as he may come across on some of his posts.

i know mate,it's a shame that the young ones are so media brainwashed and i don't hold that against them, the history and facts of the club are out there for all to find, the club was turning into a big red money machine long before glazer came along, edwards(louis, first)was involved in shady share deals long before saf came to town,i suggest read"the red army years"very good book if your young and would like some ALTERNATIVE background, very good book.
ps don't believe the hype.
