For me it was the Man Utd vs Crystal Palace 1-0 win in 1990

I was 12 and been to France on school trip. The day we were coming back was on the Saturday for Cup Final. Made driver put Radio 5 Live on and listened to one of the greatest finals of all time unfold.

Glad in a way it finished 3-3 as got to see the replay on the Wednesday in which the shock call-up of Les Sealey proved to be one of many Fergie's inspired signings and Lee Martin went on to seal a great win.

Remember next morning I bought every newspaper i could see for the cuttings!!!

You were 11? And the Corona was flowing?

First question is: You were drinking at age 11?

Second question is: Was Corona around back then?

For crying out loud Hags, how can anyone reply after reading your last
two sentences. :D ROFL.
By the way pickled onion Monster Munch weren't around in 77. :p

Anyway to keep on track, or try to.

Don't really remember much as i was 10 at the time, 1968,
Remember my older brothers doing silly dances round the house,
going out into the street, joining lots of others doing the same.
Pubs across the road and just up the street making so much noise,
knew United had won but didn't realise how much of a big thing it was.

The next day was when most of us kids got to know some details,
and learn just what it meant. That's when we started celebrating,
running round the streets in gangs of 50 or more, all wearing or holding
anything that was red and white. ( great what you can do with 20 red
and white table cloths).

If we did it today we'd all be getting ASBOs.

corona was a brand of fizzy pop with a range of colours never replicated in nature . more e's in a glass of corona than at a student house party in the late 80's . pickled onion monster munch were out in my area for ages before anywhere else as we are in the trial area for the makers . we were guinea pig kids if you like . you thougt the texan bar was withdrawn for poor sales ? no way some east midlands ankle biter ran amok with a protractor in extra maths after over doing it on the chewy treat .

Manchester United 1–0 Nottingham Forest 1992 league cup... At home watching TV... At that time I was 11... I don't think I know much about soccer, was a table-tennis player at that time. Already in love with the Red Devils... I guess was because I always sees them in bandages... It was quite funny that Steve Bruce loves to hit his head against the poles...

Same as yourself Ant apart from the school trip bit, obviously.......
That was a great year and it was Sparky in the first final to get 2 goals,
just as he did a year later in Rotterdam in the famous win over Barca.
Those 2 are the ones I remember.
Apparently I saw the Fa Cup Final in '85 when my hero Kevin Moran got sent
off.....and Stapleton and Mcgrath (legend) were also in the team.
3 Irish boys winning the FA cup, yes thats 3 :)

and we won with THAT goal by big Norm....but Id be lying if I said
I remembered cos I just dont...I was only 5 at the time....
