They are always going to get some right, but they're always going to get some wrong. It would be interesting to see what the difference is. Apparently, the Chelsea chief scout (not sure if he still is or not) used to search the FM database to get a list of players to scout.
But yeah, judging players solely on FM is ridiculous and there's no way you can do it successfully.
