I've found some of the things Frank has to iron out in his contract. He said on Sky Sports News that the issues that he had to iron out were not financial matters. So i thought, what could they be then. Anyway after a little bit of digging around i actually have managed to find a draft of his contract (that he stalled on earlier this year). Some of the things written into this contract are beyond laughable. Who does this guy think he is, royalty? These are some of the more funny things. Bear in mind whilst reading this that he rejected this contract. God knows what will be in his ironed out contract when he signed it eventually...
In no order here are some of the points:
Salary: Basic wage £129,999 a week.
Lampard is not to earn no less than £2,000 a week then John Terry. Including rewards, bonuses.
Lampard is to be unmolested by fellow players for atleast 5 seconds after scoring in order to perform a celebration he deems appropiate.
Lampard's dressing room at stamford bridge is to be painted white or off-white and decorated with two vaes of white lilies and a baby grand piano (off-white).
In the event that chelsea fc are drawn in cup competitions against a side from outside the premiership or the top 6 teams of the championship Lampard appearance will be at his discretion.
All reasonable efforts will be made by CFC to identify anyoing who is booing or insulting lampard while on CFC property and esure they are no longer furnished with tickets for sporting events or permitted access to CFC property.
The match day announcer is to read Mr Lampard's name in a louder and more enthusiastic voice than the other players, with the exception of Mr John Terry.
Whilst on the pitch if there is a penalty Lampard will take it. Howevr if there is a penalty shootout in a cup competition Mr Lampard will take a penalty at his own discretion.
Mr lampard is to be first on the team coach, except when Mr John Terry wishes to board first, and is to be allowed to reserve 3 double seats for his personal us on the coach during officail travel. Should he at any point find his seating or the view unsatisfactory and wish to change his seats (however many he is using) with any other player/players he can do so.
Chelase FC will provide an appropiate reservation tablet or devise bearing the words "For the personal use of Mr Frank Lampard". Under no circumstances will Mr Lampard be expected to share his seat with another player.
Mr Lampard has the right to request that other staff and players do not make eye contact with him before a game to remain focused.
Fans and autograph hunters are to be kept a minimum 40 yard distance from Mr Lampard at all times. He will only be required to sign 6 autographs per season and any distress that this causes to fans will be shielded from his view. It is at Mr Lampards discretion if he chooses to sign more than 6 autographs.
