Frazier Campbell And Hull City

Phil Brown, Hull City's manager, has been on
the phone to Fergie again asking if he can buy
Campbell, or at least borrow him for another
season.

I'm not surprised either to be honest.

It was our guy who single handedly got Hull
promotion with the goals he scored.

Why doesn't Fergie do what he used to do and
give him a chance in the first team ?

I think he's a good player and needs a challenge
to move him on a bit more.

Once we sign Berbatov he will learn so much
from him ... ;)

Also ...

When Keano signs Sahahahaha for Sunderland
he will be useful as backup too.

I like Frazier, he's a neat player who can finish. Think he got 14/15 ish goals
for them last season and was instrumental in getting them up.
I think he should go on loan though, especially as he will be getting
Prem experience. It can only be great for him. We have Wellbeck as young
backup. We have Roo and Tev and who knows what will happen with
Saha and Berba etc....plus Manucho could be in the frame also.

Id like to watch Frazier in the Prem and then we can see if he will make the
grade at United. I doubt he will myself, but while he is one of us, Ill support him.
Even if he does well and he ends up moving on to get first team football,
then that makes perfect financial sense. We can make some money off him.
maybe 6-8 million depending how he does.

Either way, Ill be looking out for his performances and goals.

I agree, ne needs to go out on loan IMO, if he can just bulk up a bit more and increase his all round game just slightly then I think he can make it with us.

Its funny how we haven't had a striker break through the ranks in years (techincally rossi didn't make it with us) and all of a sudden we have Campbell, Wellbeck and to a lesser degree (atm) Macheda, all of who have the potential to be first sqaud members.

I will be so happy if one day Wellbeck and Campbell are picked to play with each other in a big game.
I agree with Jazz, loaning him back to Hull would be benificial to both teams, the kid would get some top flight experience under his belt & we can see how he handles it without only seeing glimpses (i.e. carling cup or sub appearences against 'easier' opposition.)

To be fair I too don't think he'll make it at United although I would like to be wrong, we don't have the pedigree in bringing young strikers through the ranks.

Even tho we don't have the best record of bringing the younger strikers up the ranks, i watched quite a few of the games that he was involved in last season and given the chance in the prem he would do well imo. i think loaning him back 2 hull would give him much needed premiership experience and will give fergie a chance to see if he is up to the standard.
Seconded.

I finally seen the second half of the Aberdeen game and saw the Championship play-offs. I definitely think Campbell is Premier league material, I
m just not sure he could be United material.

What he needs now is games ans unfortunately he's NOT going to get them at Man Utd. Another season on loan at Hull is exactly what he needs now. Regular first team football in the most competitive league in Europe.

After this season, we can really see what he's made off and if he does well and Hull stay up his valuation will rise. If he's that good he can play for us and if not, he already has a club that would welcome with open arms.

All this depends on us signing another striker though. No Berbatov or Huntelaar and he would defo need to stay.
I would love to see him get a chance here, because two sub appearances, one against Coventry and the other when we're losing in the derby isn't exactly a fair way to judge him.

But I doubt he will. I think he should stay but he'll go out on loan to Hull, where he can test himself in the Premiership and we can see how he does.

If we don't sign a striker, he should definitely stay.

But if he stays or goes, whether that be permanently or temporarily, I'll be looking out for him.
I agree completely with Jazz. loan him to Hull and lets see how he fares against the big boys.
i agree with jazz, united and hull get what they want if he stays there for another season.

saying that campbell single handedly got hull promoted is rubbish though.
I like Campbell but another season at Hull will not hurt him. I hope we keep him. I think he should be allowed to play against us as well ;)
I'm undecided about Campbell.

I read that Hull were willing to offer £5m for him in one of the papers and I think that would be a very difficult offer to turn down. It could just be newspaper gossip though because that's a lot of money to spend on one player for a newly promoted side, especially if they have the option to take him on loan.

Either way I think he'll end up back at Hull be it permanently or on loan.

Maybe, but they certainly wouldn't have got there without him. He was great.
Giving him back to hull for a season is definatley the best solution, i work with a guy who is a hardcore hull fan and he says the fans absolutly love fraizer...as we all know he pretty much single handedly brang hull up to the prem with his goals.
I see some of his plays and i think he could play off roo really well, or even berba(if he comes) when he holds up the ball and campbell makes his neat fast runs into the box.
id love to see him stay
looks like a quality young player who could do well for us if give the chance
but recently thats not been happening
so i wouldn't be surprised if he leaves for hull
help keep them up
I think he'll be gone permanently tbh.

It looks like we're going to sign Berbatov, so having a strikeforce of Berbatov, Rooney, Tevez, Manucho, Saha (if he stays), Welbeck and Campbell is far too many strikers.

He definitely won't get a chance if Berbatov comes so we might as well just sell him now and put him out of his misery.

Its no good promising him first-team football like we did with Rossi and Pique and then selling him.
i think i agree with most people on this thread he looks promising i cant say ive seen him play at hull but ive herd good things about him and danny welbeck, perhaps we should consider loaning them out to lesser PL teams such as hull and and stoke perhaps even sunderland or wigan, see how they do and see what happens cause id love to see a young english striker break through the ranks at united its been some time since thats happened
