In light of the statues being presented of Best, Law and Sir Bobby, I have been doing some thinking about future statues for our legends.
Obviously we all expect that SAF will end up with a stautue like Sir Matt, but does anyone think that there should be more statues built?
Obviously I'm talking about them being built in say 40 odd years, but I think there should be some more.

When we talk about the 60's, the first thing that comes to a lot of people's minds are the 'holy trinity', and yes they were amazing (though i wan't alive then), but if you look at it in terms of success, do you think any of the 'class of 92' should get one? I know Sir Bobby think Giggs should get one, but what about Scholes? Neville? and to a lesser extent Beckham and Butt?

Also what about the likes of Robbo, Keane, Schmichael and Cantona? These are some of our biggest legends and in 40 years could well be spoken about in the same sentence as the 'holy trinity'.

I know that the statues are meant for the 'best of the best' in terms of legends, but surely some of the names i mentioned should/will fall into the same category.

Does anone else agree? Or am I handing out the honour of a statue to lightly?

i tend towards the idea of our enemies heads on poles leading to the ground .

john terry fat frank stevie g could be the unholy trinity and we could issue rotting veg to fans to pelt them with on matchdays .

ashley cole on a pole could be charged for and fans from every club in the league would visit for the pleasure of pelting him !

back on topic a statue to sir alex would be good .

i also think england should have statues of all players that make 100 caps on main drag to wembley to give place a bit more of a sense of history .

i agree that fergie deserves one, i've heard that when they decide (or not as the case may be) to renevate the south stand they will encorportate some historic attractions, i've also heard that these could be put near the home dugout, it's possible the statue of the holy trinity will be brought inside and be feature of the new south stand, but my source says it very much depends on the south stand expansion :) this would be exciting, but yes i agree only one more statue and thats for fergie :)

Fergie and Giggs will both get one, Giggs is the club's record apperancer (couldn't put it in good english lmao)
Well said.
And Agreed.

Why not have all the Babes statue with Matt Busby

and

Have a SAF statue with his 'Babes'.

Have it engraved, something witty like, 'History of Champions, Manchester United'.

Or as a joke ' History of Champions, beating Liverpool since 1992'

How about a statue dedicated to the fans?

The people who have made this club great!

I don't think we need to add any more sttues except maybe Sir Alex. Other than that I don't think there are too many modern day legends.

One exception that I think would warrnat a statue would be to players who spent their entire careers at Man Utd. it means they were loyal AND they were good enough to stay at the club that long.

I'm thinking Scholes, Giggs and Neville 30 years from now.

Too much statues would just defeat the purpose of having one...I mean having a Butt statue would just be a joke...there was one season where I remember nearly each game he played (started) we did not win..it was like his last season with us lol

Umm a Keano and Beckham statue would be good but they both did leave on bad terms...umm at the moment I would just add Sir Alex next to Sir Matt and add Giggs to it...for now thats enough but maybe soon we can add more like Scholes and Cantona

I think one more for SAF then call it quits, and maybe in the future one for Giggs. Like it has been said before, if you have too many it defeats the object.

Players such as Scholes, Neville and Ole have been great servers to the club but not all of them should or will get their own statue. Undoubtably they will be all be recognised in the clubs museum but that will be all.

Fergie, Giggs, Scholes, Keane and Cantona.....
Some should get statues and maybe others should get a plaque
or something?
You cant go round making too many, cos it would just look silly, but OT is big
enough inside and out to have a few more statues for sure.

Don't need any more. Make it look crap and defeat the purpose.

There's Sir Matt's, Law's and the Trinity.

I would love a statue of Fergie next to Sir Matt. And that's it.
I agree, this would do I think.

I have plaques all over the place, but the dentist gets rid of it every six months!! :D

fergie defo deserves one. giggs too

brian mcclair and darren fletcher too ( can you tell im scottish)
If Giggs gets one, then you could argue Scholes and Neville deserve one too.

Soon it will be like ancient rome

Giggs will only get a statue when he's stayed with United all his life, like Charlton has.

If we gave every legend one then where would it stop?
