Spurs' renewed interest in Ryan Giggs looks doomed to fail unless there is a major U-turn by Manchester United over his future. The Wales international won his ninth Premiership title in May and Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson has indicated he will get the chance to make it a perfect ten next season.
However, it appears White Hart Lane chief Martin Jol will not take 'no' for an answer, with the Sunday Mirror newspaper claiming an enquiry over Giggs was made by the north Londoners during the January transfer window.
It would be a major surprise if Giggs, 33, did move on this summer after 15 seasons as a first-team regular.
