Hargreaves: Destiny In Our Hands
Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves believes Manchester United fully deserve to be crowned Premiership champions for the way they have played this season.
"It is very rare at this level to see a team at the top of the table with such a massive goal difference.
"We are in control of our own destiny, which is what you want, and we need only one win to retain our title.
"Now we will see how Chelsea get on. It should be an interesting game as Newcastle are doing well of late."
Hargreaves, who has been drafted in as a temporary right back of late, was also delighted with the way United played after the high of beating Barcelona in their midweek Champions League semi final.
"We got three goals very quickly and then West Ham got a goal back. Perhaps we could have defended better and when Nani got sent off it made things a bit more difficult.
"But West Ham surprised us by the way they defended and we kept the ball better than them. I thought we were always likely to score again as we maintained our focus and that's what happened.
"It was important to finish our home game with a win as there was good energy among the supporters" he added.

United took a huge step towards defending their Premiership title by beating West Ham 4-1 at Old Trafford yesterday and Hargreaves insists that they rather than Chelsea deserve to win the title this season.
"It would be nice if teams like United who play attacking football and score lots of goals got their reward" the England midfielder said.
