When the bloody hell is it going to be played?! We have matches every weekend and midweek until at least when the next round of the competition takes place!
Feb 15 - Derby (A)
Feb 18 - Fulham (H)
Feb 21 - Blackburn (H)
Feb 24 - Inter (A)
Mar 01 - Tottenham (N)
Mar 04 - Newcastle (A)
Mar 07 - FA Cup Round 6
5 games, in 4 different competitions, within the space of 14 days, the last of which being a cup final. Is anyone else concerned about our horrible schedule?
They'll rearrange a Premiership game for it. I can't see it happening, our fixtures can't get much worse than they already are, serious amount of games coming up.
You know for the players its very tiring ofcourse but this is also the time when your season is defined and therefore is also the most exciting time of the season for both fans and players alike.
I mean its good for players to have that week rest between matches but being abit selfish as fans, do you not enjoy watching united every 3-4 days?!?
Also IF we win our games against inter and remain in other competitions and we're looking good in the league, the potential is huge.
Now the time starts when the season will be defined as one of dissapointment or success and i'm just glad to be part of the ride even as a fan to be honest!
I love this stage of the season. The games come thick and fast and there's always so much to talk about.
It will be a very testing time for our squad but the injury list seems to be getting smaller and smaller, which is perfect timing.
As for the thread topic, I'd be surprised if the game at Pride Park ends in a draw but if it does I guess we'll have to do something similar to Arsenal who are playing their 4th round replay on Monday.
I know it's a drain on the players, but we have a pretty big squad with lots of depth. And, as rd said, as injuries continue to subside - some of our players actually need more games.
I remember discussion at the beginning of the season that chelski's squad was deeper than ours. Sure doesn't seem that way now.
TBH I'd be happy if we played two games a week, every week of the season.
I love having loads of games to watch. If we have a back log of fixtures
it means we are doing well in LOTS of the cups, so happy days.
Anyway, we have a great, big capable squad to handle it all,
so I dont see why so many are moaning.
