Is he in your opinion a quality keeper ? He certainly isn't bad imo

I rate him a lot. He was very unlucky at the start of his City career. He was blighted by injuries. I really thought he would be their no.1 this year.
He has loads of caps for Sweden and would be a capable number 1 in any Prem team. Still no need for him though as we are flush in the keepers department.

I'm surprised that Isaksson isn't City's number 1.

He's had limited opportunities due to injury but with Sven being Swedish I'm sure he knows what a good player he has been for Sweden.

He have potential, a lot of it. It was wonderful watching him against Germany last year, if he shouldn't have been that good sweden would have lost with like 6 goals.

Isaksson have been injured a lot while being at 'the massive club' but the main reason he's not their first pick in goal is his attitude problem.
Everyone here in Sweden thought now when the Swedes were moving in at City Isaksson would get matches so he can be fit for the Swedish Euro qualification games but Sven Göran dont like Andreas Isakssons grumpy attitude. Thats why he's probably going to leave England for Turkey and Galatasaray now in January.

Andy, I wouldnt call him shite but he's not for us.

A fun fact is that he was the one they hoped would take over after van der Sar in Juve but they bought the worlds best goalkeeper Buffon. Our van der Sar who was so lousy that they thought of having a teenager in goal before Parma let Gigi leave. Btw, Gigi was just a child at the time. So dont rule Andreas out just yet.
