United Plotting Bosingwa Swoop
Manchester United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz has confirmed the Reds are
plotting a move for Porto defender Jose Bosingwa.
It is believed boss Alex Ferguson has drawn up a list of full backs to target as he
searches for a long-term replacement for Captain Gary Neville.
With Wes Brown expected to be released at the end of the season, and doubts
growing as to whether Neville will regain full fitness, the United boss has
increased his interest in the Porto full back.
There is already a strong contingent of Portuguese at Old Trafford with Christiano
Ronaldo, Nani and Anderson joining Queiroz at the club.
"There are some Porto players good enough to play for United if they want to,
and Jose is one of them," Queiroz told the ‘Daily Mail'.
"He is a very good player and we are keeping an eye on him."
Martin O'Neill at Aston Villa is also reportedly interested, but if United go for the
talented full back, then he may have to admit defeat and look elsewhere.
