United Plotting Bosingwa Swoop

Manchester United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz has confirmed the Reds are
plotting a move for Porto defender Jose Bosingwa.

It is believed boss Alex Ferguson has drawn up a list of full backs to target as he
searches for a long-term replacement for Captain Gary Neville.

With Wes Brown expected to be released at the end of the season, and doubts
growing as to whether Neville will regain full fitness, the United boss has
increased his interest in the Porto full back.

There is already a strong contingent of Portuguese at Old Trafford with Christiano
Ronaldo, Nani and Anderson joining Queiroz at the club.

"There are some Porto players good enough to play for United if they want to,
and Jose is one of them," Queiroz told the ‘Daily Mail'.

"He is a very good player and we are keeping an eye on him."

Martin O'Neill at Aston Villa is also reportedly interested, but if United go for the
talented full back, then he may have to admit defeat and look elsewhere.

Ah well, its that time of year I suppose. We are linked with every man and his poodle at this time of year.
Indeed! I bet a very small percentage of the speculation actually comes true!

He's good.......but for 10million pounds? I would rather we take Branislav Ivanovic who's slightly better & costs only 6million pounds from Lokomotiv Moscow!

I have seen him play but this is only as i bought him few months back on fm 2008 for around £10 mil (ish) and baring in mid this guy is a defender, as AG said above hes not shy about joining the attack or even starting one he plays more like a winger but dont let that put you off as hes one hell of a defender as well so i would be happy if he joined, very happy :)

Where I heard it is irrelevant. I believe he'd be worth every penny of it though.
Well known for his good crosses and attacking style!
Very relevant because the price is 22 Million - seems you got a dodgy source :p

But even you should know by now Carly, this is typical of clubs to overprice their players when a club like United come knocking. I think 10 million would be fair but 22 million is utterly ridiculous!!!
