Olympique Lyon playmaker Juninho Pernambucano has praised Manchester United, saying that along with Inter they are the best team in Europe
French champions Olympique Lyonnais take on Manchester United this week in the Champions League, but Brazilian playmaker Juninho knows les Gones will have a tough task: United, he claims, are at the very pinnacle of European football.
“Manchester United are certainly the best team in Europe with Inter,†said the 33-year-old OL captain. “They impressed again at the weekend against Arsenal."
Tough, Not Impossible
Nevertheless, Lyon are not in bad shape themselves, topping Ligue 1 despite many saying they are no longer the force they were. "It's a huge game but a doable one," Juninho added of his team's chances.
"We made lots of effort to play the last 16 games. We are not going to give up before the match. First of all we will try to achieve a good result in the first leg. First we'll improve our football and then try to win.â€
I agree with him over this one, Inter Milan & Manchester United are the two best teams in the world currently. Inter are beaten ONLY once both last season & this season in the Italian Serie A Ligue.
