Don't know why our players seem to be quite reluctant to go for the killer pass or the risky through ball. We have the players who can see and make these passes like scholes, carrick, giggs, etc but it sometimes looks as if they don't want to go for it.
It has been very visible this season and it was seen in yesterday's game as well. We did get our 2 goal via excellent passes from scholes and anderson but there were 4-5 other opportunities to go for the killer ball to complete great runs from our forwards but our players didn't go for it. Above mentioned players usually went for those passes in the previous seasons but this season they seem very very reluctant.
is it due to the patience tactics or the players just don't want to take risks or any other reason?

I actually think we attempted several killer balls last night, many were offside though and a few one on ones were wasted. The killer balls were okay though. Both of our goals came from superb through balls anyway.

It took one post to convince you that your own thread was pointless. Congrats.

Anderson and Carrick are the only people who've assisted on through balls from midfield this year. Anderson's to Rooney against Middlesbrough(?) can't remember the opposition but it was sublime.

Scholes, Giggs, Anderson, Scholes, Ronaldo, Rooney, Berbatov, Carrick are just a few examples of players that are extremely capable of making a killer pass. It's the players' movement and understanding of each other that makes it so easy for these players to make a killer pass. Just look at Ronaldo's run for the Berbatov goal v Spurs and you'll see what i mean!

Some fantastic passing in yesterdays game from United.
I mean Rooney has ridiculous vision, similiar to Scholes when he's able to pick out a team-mate from distance. His ball to Carrick for the penalty was as good a "killer pass" you'll see all season.
He picked out Ronaldo brillantly for the 3rd goal and it was a brillant header from Ronnie.
He also put it on a plate for Berbatov for the 5th goal.
Ronaldo also picked out Rooney for the 4th with a brillant chip cross.
Along with Carrick, Scholes, Giggs, Berbatov and Anderson we have some outstanding players who can pick out that "killer pass.":)

Scholesy placed a killer pass to set Carrick on his way to ensure we emerged victorious over pompey so we do have some reasonable players he will take the game to the oppostion and pick out a key pass!!!

You must've missed Andersons pass for Rooneys goal tonight...
and *scholes? 's one for Carrick's pen earning run - not to mention other goals that were scored, some passes from Rooney Berb Tev and Ronaldo could also be considered killer
