AC Milan To Force United’s Hand In Move Atletico’s Koke

Manchester United may be forced to step up their efforts for Atletico Madrid’s Koke, after Italian club AC Milan apparently made an offer for the 21 year old.

United’s interest in the Spaniard has been well publicised, with reports that the club are willing to meet his buyout clause to secure his services.

It was believed that United’s main competition for Koke’s signature would come from Liverpool and Barcelona, but according to Mundo Deportivo AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri has jumped to the front of the queue.

AC Milan have reportedly offered Koke €4m a season after tax in an effort to snap up the youngster, but if United’s interest is concrete United would be able to go higher.

Having rejected the chance to make Ander Herrera the club’s most expensive player, it is Koke’s €38m price tag, rather than wages, that could prove the problem.

edit: @Txrt opinions of him so far this season?
About Koke?!
Season of his life... Everythings going well for him, just like everyone in Atletico Madrid. Unbelievable fitness level, unbelievable confidence in himself and his team... And great sacrifice and hard work for the team too.
He's a tidy player on the ball too. He's improving his tactical sense... He can play in a double pivot, etc etc.

It would be nice to play him and Carrick in our midfield!!
I don't know if he'll be interested in leaving Atletico... But certainly the board can decide to sell him, they've done that in the past, due to the lack of money in the club (and the huge amount of thieves and corrupss in that board).

@TFIA @Spoonman To be honest... Nothing would surprise me coming from Enrique Cerezo and Miguel Angel Gil Marin.

It's totally not logic to sell Koke now, but when they won the Europe League in 2010.... This was the squad for the last months of competition. "De Gea, Asenjo, Valera, Antonio López, Pernía, Juanito, Ujfalusi, Alvaro Domínguez, Perea, Pablo Ibáñez, Cabrera, Ignacio Camacho, Raúl García, Jurado, Assunçao, Tiago, Salvio, Reyes, Simao, Agüero y Forlán."

Only Tiago plays for them now... It didn't make sense back then either to sell a group of players that were able to beat Liverpool, Valencia, Galatasaray, Sporting Lisbon etc etc... But that's how things work in Atletico Madrid. Same happened after the League-Cup double in 96... They've always done it. Sell players when they're on their best, and god knows where that money goes! Ask any Atletico fan, they'll all say the same about Cerezo and Gil Marin... Terribly corrupt club, that doesn't care at all about their sport-level, only about making money for the owners to get more rich...

It's always been like that with them... Miguel Angel Gil Marin, major shareholder of Atletico, the only owner in history of a football that has been accussed of swindling (I don't know if this is the word, I just found it) his own team... Enrique Cerezo, with a even worse history in his back (don't know if you guys know about "Caso Negritos", "Caso Atletico", "Caso Camisetas", etc etc)....
They care nothing about the sports project... So I honestly wouldn't rule out him leaving Atletico for us, not because he wants to, but because they want to sell him... Far worse things have been seen at that club.
