Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson remains keen on Roma midfielder Daniele de Rossi.

After victory in Italy's capital on Tuesday night, the United manager expressed admiration for De Rossi, having previously enthused about Miguel Veloso, who plays in a similar role for Sporting Lisbon, says The Times.

Hes probably Romas best player i think, one of the best defense midfielders around i think hes alot like Hargo, i think we should make an enquiry about him because lets say Fletcher does leave we may as well get another midfielder Would be a fantastic midfield (Carrick, Hargo, Anderson, Scholes and De Rossi) then again the competition for places then may become very heated!

there isnt any english players playing abroad. well, if you count beckham at MLS that is, other than that, its none. Hargo came to us.

but anyway, it would be great if de rossi could come to us. 5 stars midfield i say!

I agree.Our main priorities is a striker or a defender.The midfield is solid already.Lets focus on what we need,not what we want.

yes you are right to be honest if you look at the percentage of players who leave there respected league , england must have the best rate other than beckham there isnt anyone of any calaber out there . But surely thats followed by the italian league .

De rossi is a fantastic player alright. But i dont think we need another midfielder and i don't think SAF Will spent another 15-20M for a midfielder.

Our main concern is RB. With Neville 33 and no natural RB in the squad, we really need to bring in a good RB.

I think alot depends on whether fergie is happy with a certain midfield player but in my opinion fergie may not be as keen on one of as we all think.
