Manucho is injured quite bad. The Mirror claims its the same injury that left beckham, neville and rooney on the bench for several months. Its an article from www.united.no. Now we REALLY need to invest in a new man to cover upfront.

I was eager to see im in a manutd shirt too, damn.

Fractured metatarsal could put him out for a few weeks or a few months. We won't know until he's had the x-ray.

Not a major loss tbh.

He could be crap for all we know.

We should be signing another striker regardless of Manucho's and Saha's fitness, and Ronaldo's future.

I really don't understand the love-in with Manucho on this forum

Tbh, I'm not going to believe it until its confirmed by Man Utd or Sky Sports.

But if it is true, its bad news for us and him.

I'm looking forward to seeing him more than any potential new signing, so if it is true it'll be disappointing for us and terrible for Manucho, I suppose you could say. I mean, joining up with your new club, and then getting an injury is ashame for him. He would have to come back to full fitness, then he'll be behind on match fitness, so its going to take longer for him to make an impact.

But lets wait to see if its true first ;)

I kind of agree, though I believe he will be a very good player.
With Rooney, Tevez and the inevitable striker to come in, as well as
Saha, Campbell and/or Wellbeck we can afford to have him out for a while.
It will disrupt his pre season but we dont know whether he will be playing
for us anyway next season. he could have been loaned out again.
Id rather Manucho was injured than a Rooney or a Tevez tbh.

Well it is an injury that will keep him out for a few weeks or maybe a month. But he should be available for the start of the season anyway. For Manucho this is going to be a season where he is a back-up player who is slowly improving, so it is not really a disaster. Of course it depends how bad it is, but if it is only a minor fracture which is most common, than it is not a major problem.

True.

But Manucho could also be the striker we're looking for, and because of this injury (if its true) we won't get to see the player he is for a while yet.

Exactly abo.

And until it is, I won't believe it.

Thats why in all my posts on the subject I've said "if its true." ;)

no sweat guys, this could work out for the better. This could pursude Fergie to get the cheque book out and splash some of that cash on a TOP center forward, something we've all been craving :)
