I'm not sure how many people know about a site called the Football Mercato but it's a phenomenally detailed site.

The one major drawback is that to get full access you need to pay. 2 Years full membership will set you back $31.92 which is $1.33 a month.

If you're willing to pay up the Mercato is a wonderful tool for letting agents/players/coaches get in contact and following transfers.

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12875_3645277,00.html

This story first surfaced a few weeks ago as speculation and now has manifested itself.

Milan youngster Yoann Gourcuff will spend the 2008/09 season on loan at Bordeaux.

The 21-year-old will return to his homeland in order to experience regular first-team football, something he has been denied since moving to Italy in 2006.

Much was expected of the playmaker after he burst onto the scene as a talented teenager at Rennes, but he has found himself on the fringes of the first-team fold at San Siro.

His return to France will give him the opportunity to experience competitive domestic football, as well as the UEFA Champions League.

Following their second-place finish in the 2007/08 season Laurent Blanc has wasted little time in moulding together a squad capable of challenging in Europe next season, with Caen's Yoan Gouffran another potential summer arrival.

Changes

The French U21 international striker is believed to have already agreed a four-year deal at Stade Chaban Delmas, but the two clubs are yet to settle on a fee.

Bordeaux are thought to have tabled a 5million euros (£3.9m) offer, while Caen are holding out for a figure closer to 8million (£6.3m).

The Ligue 1 side are also keen on bringing Mikael Silvestre back to France, while club chairman Jean-Louis Triaud confirmed that he is not expecting any departures this summer.

"Except the additional left-sided defender we are missing, there should be no other changes," he said.

"We don't need to change a lot and we have received no offers for any of our players.

"As we are not open to discussions on any player, other clubs have decided not to waste their time, and ours."

Lloris fills Lyon void

Keeper set to step into Coupet's boots

Promising goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has completed his move to Lyon from Ligue 1 rivals Nice.

The French U21 international has completed an 8.5million euros (£6.7m) switch, signing a five-year contract at Stade Gerland.

Lyon had made the capture of Lloris their top priority this summer following the news that club stalwart Gregory Coupet will be leaving during the close season.

Lloris rejected the opportunity to join Italian giants Milan in order to remain in his homeland and has already expressed his delight at joining a club capable of challenging for both domestic and European honours.

Having finally secured the services of the 21-year-old keeper, Lyon will also welcome the news that Juninho is keen to see out his contract with the club.

Desire

Having endured a difficult 2007/08 campaign there had been suggestions that the Brazilian midfielder would leave France during the summer.

However, after a trophy-laden seven-year spell in Ligue 1, the club captain has signalled his intention to play out the remaining two years of his current deal.

"I want this adventure to carry on," Juninho told France Football.

"If I feel that I am still important to the coach, then I will stay. Otherwise, I will leave.

"Should I be forced into leaving then I will move to America or United Arab Emirates. My agent has already received a few offers.

"But I have two years left on my contract and I still have support from the fans, so that gives me the desire to carry on playing at Lyon."

Pjanic deal

Despite Juninho's decision to remain at Stade Gerland, Lyon have wasted no time in lining up his replacement by securing the signature of Miralem Pjanic.

The Bosnian playmaker has agreed a transfer thought to be in the region of 8million euros (£6.3m).

The talented teenager suffered relegation with Metz last season, but is looking forward to testing himself at the opposite end of the table next term.

"Lyon is a very ambitious and professional club," he said.

- Guys, I'm telling you keep an eye of Hugo Lloris. The guy is very, very good. He is tall and has all the right attributes. He reminds me of Peter Cech. I guess that's the best way to describe a tall keeper, with good reflxes, safe hands and good at organizing his defence. I hope Lyon train him well, so he can join Benzema....at Old Trafford! :D

Milan clinch Zambrotta deal

Full-back accepts return to Serie A

Milan have confirmed the signing of Italy international Gianluca Zambrotta from Barcelona.

Zambrotta joined Barca in 2006 from Juventus, but had been keen to return to Serie A.

The 31-year-old had been lined up as a possible signing by Milan for several weeks and an agreement has now been reached with Barcelona.

The Italian giants have confirmed the capture on the club's official website, although no details of the fee or the length of Zambrotta's contract have been disclosed.

Zambrotta is currently with the Italy squad preparing for the European Championship in Austria and Switzerland, which starts in a week's time.

Milan had been keen to strengthen the full-back area after releasing veteran Brazilian duo Cafu and Serginho at the end of the season.

The Rossoneri have also shown an interest in two more Barcelona players - Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto'o - as the club look to bounce back from missing out on qualification for next season's UEFA Champions League.

Barca confirm Giovani-to-Spurs sale

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12875_3657262,00.html

Tottenham finalise £4.7million deal

Barcelona have confirmed that Giovani Dos Santos has signed for Tottenham.

The 19-year-old Mexican international has signed a five-year deal at White Hart Lane and will officially move to White Hart Lane on 1st July.

Spurs will pay an initial 6million euros (£4.7million) for Giovani with the fee possibly rising by another £3.9million depending on appearances.

Giovani, son of former Brazilian international Zizinho, came through the youth ranks at Camp Nou and he has Spanish citizenship so does not require a work-permit to play in England.

Tottenham held off stern interest from a number of clubs, including Premier League rivals Manchester City, to seal Giovani's signature.
