For those who haven't seen it yet, here's a link to the letter that Middlesbrough gave to their supporters on Saturday at the Riverside.

People are furious about this apparantly. :realmad::realmad:

Any opinions? Justified crowd control, or excessive?

It's silly isn't it, but not a surprise at all in modern football.
This is outrageous. Sums up modern football. Anyone whos been to boro in recent years will know what ***** the stewards are as well!
shame is that i wouldn't be shocked if you changed the badge to a united one and addressed it to blocks w3101-3106..

They will eventually, those blocks are out of control a lot of the time.
What an absolute joke, make as much as you want when we score. So never basically lol :)

Hilarious
This is an absolute disgrace.

While I was in the Stretford End Tier 2, I kept seeing the people in other sections seated and kept asking myself how one could possibly enjoy a football match that way.

At some point the government, FA and Football clubs need to review the status quo. Something needs to be done.

The stadiums are seated already, negating the threat of crowd surges, so why not ask the fans if they want to stand and have designated areas for such fans?

Still can't get my head around this.

Fans in germany can stand without anyone dying and truth be tld, people only die when Liverpool play...

Thats absolute nonsense.
And the Stoke Council have no problems ?
this is ridiculous..you dont go to football to sit there in silence...you cant stand up.you cant sing.dont make any noise...whats it all coming too.
Only stand up when you score? Balls to that.

I stand up whenever United get anywhere near goal, if we've had a great chance AND when we score. I'm sure all fans do. To tell them to do otherwise is ridiculous.

As for 'excessive noise' they should be glad their fans are making any noise considering how poor Boro have been this season.

That said, I remember fans complaining about the England band constantly banging the drum and when I went to watch Ebbsfleet United in the FA Trophy Final last season all noise making devices e.g. horns, drums etc were banned from Wembley.
Hey, credit to them for middlesbrough trusting on their manager, not their fan.....These is what BPL need, just like how ManUtd board that believe in SAF...
