Middlesborough this morning have made an approach for out of favour Lyon striker Fred

He's a great player maybe SAF should put in an enquiry?

I'd rather retire from football altogther than play for them.
I honestly cannot see him going there. It'd be a huge step down for him. Why bother going to a club that is essentially in the relagation battle for the time being?

I'm sure there will be other clubs out there that'll be interested in him, bigger ones that is.

I don't think he is good enough for United, but he is not that low a standard to resort to Boro. West Ham or Spurs yes! Boro, I'd quicker retire!

There are rumours about Berba, Bent and Defoe leaving Spurs at the moment (obviously all 3 won't go!!!) but I've only heard about Fred coming in.

Link to Middlesbrough is most likely a dud, Spurs more likely or staying on the continent more likely again, should have moved on years ago, stayed winning easy league titles in one of worst top flight leagues in Europe, could do a job for the likes of Spurs or W Ham though.
