I dont know how much or how little you guys have watched it but what are your takes on the league? This year is its 13 season and despite not having many big name players, they still have some and play a decent brand of football.

Now, dont get me wrong. I'd much rather watch an BPL game but im finding the games to be quite enjoyable... At halftime, the chicago fire is beating the revolution 4-0!!!

What are you thoughts on the league?

Beckham just scored :D

well, its clearly getting more popular. with the likes of beckham, abel xavier(ex boro, liverpool, everton defender) there now. still, it isnt the same as BPL. the quality isnt there, but who knows? maybe in 3-4 years time it might be.

Completely agree. Its something new to this country to see a sold out 65,000 person stadium especially because of one person namely beckham.

If people like ibramovich invest in teams in the mls, then it will reach the level of the best leagues - players will go where the money is. Everytime a bpl team comes to the states, its sold out!

60,000 soccer moms and rug rats and screaming teen girls to see Beckham !!

Yeah ..great for the MLS..NOT !!

Did the Galaxy get whooped 4 - 1 ? LOL.

2,500+ Toronto supporters made the road trip to Columbus,
Rocked the stadium, stood, sang, and showed how a team should be supported.

20,000 at the BMO every game, no big names, win/draw/lose(usually) but they
know how to get behind their team and not put up with all the hype.

Toronto FC ( yes FC = FOOTBALL CLUB, Not Soccer) is supported by hundreds of ex pat Mancs/scousers that understand how FOOTBALL teams should be supported and what FOOTBALL is all about.

I watch most of the games on MLSlive( worth the money), been onboard with TFC and the RPBs since before the first brick was laid in 2006.

Yours, Salford Red, 1st UK Member of the UK branch of TFC and the RPBs.

I think that the league has not improved for two reasons: first because of a salary cap that makes it imposible for teams to get decent talent, and second because the league is focusing all of the attention on the la galaxy, which quite frankly is one of the worst teams in the league, basically for this league to grow the league has to get rid of the salary cap, the draft, and get all of the teams to be individually owned which will bring more talent.

The clubs in the MLS have been unfairly branded as 'pub-teams' in his country, usually by people who have never seen an MLS game. I admit the standard is nowhere near the top European leagues but it's better than watching 40yr old fat, bald blokes with a hangover huffing and puffing around a football pitch!!!

I've only watched a couple of games tbh and there are some decent players but Beckham moved to LA for the lifestyle, not because they are a decent football team. If he really wanted to raise the profile of the MLS he should have joined a team capable of winning something - success increases support and if this was combined with Beckham's high-profile then it could have really generated a lot of interest. Unfortunately, people will soon realise that the LA Galaxy are not worth watching for Beckham alone because they are still losing games and will lose interest.

MLS has increased in popularity after becks moved over. He went there for the lifestyle and a change in living. LA Galaxy are not worth the popularity. Lots of women and girls went over to watch them ...... but even with beckham's influence... they are losing.

I heard Henry may be joining an MLS team in the summer ...

Barcelona and France striker Thierry Henry is being lined up by newly-formed MLS side Seattle, and will pay him £150,000 per week. (The Sun)

Don't see how a player of Henry's class who scores goals for fun (even in these days) would move, then again it is The Sun :)

Firstly, no. They do not play decently and have no good brand (?) of football.

BPL?

and I'd expect 4-0 thrashings when the players are that *****.

I WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE MLS..... Give the league another 5 years and it will be well respected.... They got to continue to find talent and bring in big names... everyone loves america, just more money needs to be given to these players... 10 years from now it will be almost as good as the EPL... MONEY TALKS, more of it needs to be provided

I don't know whether to like the MLS or stay bitter. My local club The San Jose Earthquakes, moved from San Jose to Houston and changed to the Houston Dynamo because "San Jose couldn't sustain an MLS team...". However, two years later, and right after Houston WINS THE MLS, hey what do you know, San Jose Earthquakes expansion team, minus all the players we used to root for and any talent whatsoever. I am tired of this crap. It's not sports, its politics. The Houston Dynamo ARE the SJ Earthquakes, it is total garbage.

Also, the move to sign beckham was incredibly stupid imo. The second he is gone everyone who came to see David Beckham stops coming to see MLS games. They need to invest in academies and breed good young talent, not just for the league but for the US national team.
