anderson first then rooney , very close call though, to be fair nani was good as well .
As much as I agree with everything you said about Rooney, I cant give him motm purely for the host of chances he missed. Im not trying to take away from his great performance. He led the line superbly and scored a real strikers goal.Fergaiste said:Rooney must have invented that phrase cometh the hour cometh the man. the man is a genius and as I've said in previous threads he is indisputably our talisman. He made gallas, supposedly the best centre half in world football, second rate.
special mention must go to fletcher, nani and anderson who were all out of this world. The whole team to be fair were magnificent.10-0 would not have done the performance justice.
It wasnt just the reaction from the derby, its just plain to see what difference Rooney makes to this team. ronaldo may have produced more individual moments of skill in terms of goals etc this season but Rooney is still the better player for the team.
boy am i so happy!!!!
Im sure Ronaldo probably did better on that polldecorativeed said:Just had a look on the manutd.com poll and Fletcher is in a lowly fifth place there. Ever get the feeling that there are people voting who never even watched the match?...

But to be fair he could have had 3 or 4.
My man of the match goes to Fletcher. This is an easy enough call for me. As the commentator said he is 'like a man possessed', tackling like a warrior and chasing the Arse players down like dogs. 2 goals and an al round combative, amazing performance. Possibly his best in a United shirt.
Nani also played like a man from another planet. Great goal and 2 fantastic assists along with his all round good play. The Arse players tried to hack him off the ball but he stood strong and courageous in their faces. It was great to see.
It was like we had a team full of Roy Keane's, a total contrast to last weekends limp performance against City.
motm-
1.Fletch
2.Nani
