Well the time has finally come! The due diligence process has come to an end and the 27000 paid up members now have the chance to vote on whether to complete the takeover.

Members will also have to vote on whether to allow current coach, Liam Daish, to continue with his contract negotiations and transfer dealings.

Over 50% of voters must agree with the takeover for it to go ahead. Members have until 23rd January to cast their vote.

MyFootballClub members unable to attend Ebbsfleet's matches will have to familiarise themselves with the squad via the website.

A free match highlights package is to be made available to members along with a player statistic and analysis facility.

They are currently eighth in the Blue Square Premier, three points off a play-off place for entry to the Football League.

I have already cast my vote - YES to the takeover and for Liam Daish to continue with his work.

MyFootballClub members have today approved the takeover of Ebbsfleet United football club, the first website-community takeover of its kind in the world. Over 95.7% voted in favour of going ahead with the deal.

In the second vote, over 95.6% voted in favour of allowing Liam Daish to continue with any plans he has for the January transfer window.

Woohoo, I (and 27000+ other people) now own a football club :p

Look out for reddwarf in the Times, Independent, Telegraph, Guardian and Evening Standard today!

Eurostar, the sponsors of Ebbsfleet, have taken out a full page advert in all of the above newspapers and listed some of the new owners (by online username for the MyFC website).

reddwarf is towards the top-right hand side of the list of names :D

Nice Dwarf...Good work indeed.
I read that this morning and thought of yourself......
Hope you guys do well and get to the Prem one day ;-)
Where would your allegiance lie then? , Eh Dwarf
Man United 'til I die mate ;)

If Ebbsfleet ever reach the Prem I don't think I'd renew my membership - conflict of interests and I'd feel that I'd contributed enough.

If Ebbsfleet ever play Man United in a cup competition I reckon I'll have to abstain from voting on the team selection.

That all seems a long way off at the moment though. After losing against Torquay, the Fleet only have an outside chance of making the playoffs this season.

As one of the most dreaded sayings in football goes: 'There's always next season' :D
Ebbsfleet aren't Liverpool :p

Still got the FA Carlsberg Trophy to play for :D

The big cup game is this weekend - away at Nigel Clough's Burton Albion. Wembley beckons!!!

hope we see them in the FA cup some year!!
It is a good laugh actually.

There's over 28250 members to chat with. Not all of them are very active on the forum, if at all, but that's still plenty of people to discuss, debate and argue with!!!

We are now able to vote for our 1st team selection (for the replay against Burton Albion). I went for...

4-4-2 formation.

GK: Cronin
RB: Ricketts
CB: Smith
CB: Opinel
LB: Hawkins
RM: McPhee
CM: Bostwick
CM: Long
LM: Moore
ST: Nade
ST: Akinde

So will the other 28000+ members agree with me...

I had a fantastic day on Saturday. I met some really great people, including a fellow Man United fan!

The game was very entertaining - a 3-3 draw! Ebbsfleet went 2-0 down when one of our defenders gave away a penalty and was also sent-off. We then pulled one back before Northwich took a 3-1 lead. We pulled another one back before one of our midfield players was stretchered off after we'd used all our subs so we were down to 9 men! Then with 2 minutes to go we scored an unlikely equaliser!

After the game some of the Ebbsfleet players and staff came into the bar so I had a chat with the Assistant Manager. Fantastic stuff.

I'm planning to go again to the Droylsden game in April.

Give us an update Dwarf....
I saw that Ebbsfleet had a rake of games in hand. Why is that?
Think you have a chance of the playoffs?
Cmon man give us some info.
Forget the playoffs! The Fleet are going to Wembley!!!!! :)

The games in hand are because the Fleet have been involved in the latter stages of the FA Trophy for the 1st time in their history. In the semi-finals they drew the league leaders Aldershot and beat them 3-1 at home in the 1st leg and drew 1-1 away (with a last-minute equaliser) to win 4-2 on aggregate.

The final, against Torquay, is on 10th May and I'm already making plans to get down to Wembley for it.

League results suffered as players seemed to focus on the FA Trophy semi's so I don't think the playoffs are a realistic aim for this season now.

Nice work, didnt know that at all. A Wembley outing in your first season
in charge ;-) your team has potential.

It shows you have a load of games in hand. Maybe a Wembley appearance
might galvanise them into a promotion push?
You may need to get the hairdryer out Dwarf. You dont want any slackers
on your team.
btw Im available if your stuck for a central defender ;-)

It's actually annoyed some of the long-term fans of the club because they've been waiting all their lives for a cup final and we've only owned the club for half a season and we all get the opportunity to go to Wembley. :D

Ebbsfleet have got 3/4 games in hand on the teams above them but need to win all of them. The next 3 games are all against teams above the Fleet in the league so you could say it's a good opportunity to catch them but it also means they'll be very tough games.

If you can convert to a winger we might be interested ;)

It's April! We play Droylsden on Saturday so I'm getting the train down. Already arranged to meet up with a few people before the game for a few pints.

Should be a good laugh and we should win (Droylsden are bottom of the league) but the result isn't too important. Ebbsfleet are down to 12th and 12 points off the playoffs with just 7 games to go so a playoff place is unrealistic now.

Up the Fleet!
