Firstly the myth that Mancunians do not support United, every research which has been conducted has demonstrated that there are more United fans than City in Manchester. But the most convincing evidence is to look at the attendances of United and City from the early 1950s to the present day.

Not once have City had a bigger attendance than United, and as most people will be aware during the 1950s and early 1960s travelling from other areas was certainly not really an option.

Another myth that gets on my nerves - Denis Law sent United down - he didn't had United not lost 1-0 but beat City 100-0 We would still have gone down.

But in 1963 the Lawman DID send Manchester City in to the 2nd division.

Yeah, I hate that myth about Denis Law. United were down regardless of that
goal. His celebration afterwards said it all. He looked dejected and shocked.
He was subbed straight after if Im not mistaken, and that was the last kick
he made in English League football...

Got to agree with those two.

I also hate it when people say "So and so will win today because, the opposition haven't won there since 1104 (slight exaggeration I know, ;) )

The past doesn't matter during a game, only the present.

I hate the myth that Arsenal are best footballing team in England. (as in technical ability also)

1. We win far more trophies than them. They haven't won a trophy in 3 years.

2. We beat them 4-0 this year.

3. We score more goals than them every season and at present have scored more goals than them this season.

Well in that case when you get an administrator making idiotic comments I'm obviously on a Manchester United board which is really for children and not adults.

I'll try another board - goodbye!!!

Also Reina the best keeper in the world myths
Gerrard the best midfielder/player in the world myths(what has he done for his country?)
Kuty > Rooney myths (yes iv heard this heaps of times)
Pennant > Roanldo myths (LMAO!!)
Liverpool have a much stronger squad then ours myths (And that is why they are fighting for 4th place!!)

Myths i hate. Italiano clubs are better than us because they perform better than us, historically anyway, in Europe.

Their fixture list gives them pleenty of time to rest. Half the time in their league game they're standing around doing nothing/ball watching. Their FA supports the Italian clubs in Europe unlike our antagonistic English FA.

Theeen there's the fact of number of fixtures. Go to skysports and see how many fixtures Milan played this season compared to us. Then look at Real Madrid. Wana know without looking?

Milan: 50
Real Madrid: 61
Manchester United: 84.

Myth Number 2: italian/spanish leagues are better than the EPl. better in what way? EPL =more goals, better defences and a group closer to the top 4 than any other european league. we scored more goal, conceded less and ran more meters on the pitch as compared to other leagues.

Next Myth: Benitez worked wonders at Valencia. DID HE ****. Anybody remember the chap called Hecter Cuper? At a time when Spain was the dominnate league in Europe and Real Madrid had their galatico policy, Hecter came so close to winning the Primera Ligua from a team he built in a space of 4 years. If that's not good enough then how about 2 consecutive Champions League finals against Real madrid and Bayern Munchen?

Bent Benitez put the final touches, i.e. made winners, out of a team who were very nearly there already. Why does no one bring up the times he was sacked from Spanish clubs x 2 for poor results. He went from Spain to italy to improve his defensive tactics.

Couples with the fact Benitez was so not used to playing more than 60 games a season with his team, and you see why Liverpool are good in 10 game KO tournaments over a period of 8months as compared to being 4th in the league. You now see why Benitez is always shyte at starting the English Football Season. To save from Burnout.

So while there can be no question he did a decent job, i think people over galvanise him and his achievements. He's doing well in England because he basically got the best players he knew of in Spain. Not actually developed many players himself. Liverpool play to a standard but don't really strive to improve themselves; they don't know how to under Benitez. He just adds players to imrpove the squad playability, not the players themselves ;)

That's why Benny thinks his team "ish all that, but maybe not enough you know?." Benitez added in a quick striker who's used to struggling and has done well with another team of strugglers with Stevie G and co.

Oh and the biggest myth of all: "Arsenal are a big club"

AHAHAHAHAHAHAAH

Your jokes can be hard to comprehend by newbies in the forum eg "shut up!" in the shoutbox that may just unwittingly cause some young hearts to stop pumping or when you make it extra dry in a short one-liner. Lol..

Takes a while to get used to your idiosyncrasies. :D ;)

Hope our Stretford End regular will get to see all these postings.....

have to say I hate the myth which Graeme Sounness came out with recently that liverpool fans are the most loyal in England. wait till they go 26 years without winning the league and we'll see how faithful they are then. our fans remained steadfast through the dark period of the 70's and 80's and showed appreciation fo the decent football we always tried to play( with the exception of the sexton era). I wonder are the kop too tolerant of their team playing the kind of dull, pedantic football they play.We wouldnt put up with it but that doesnt mean we are disloyal its just we are cogniscent of our history and the team's duty to play entertaining attractive football.

Also having discussed with salford red in this forum not one FCum fan has deserted our club for city or anyone else.

I hate the myth that people think scousers are human.

Rooney's from that area but he's superhuman :p

The rest are neanderthols.

Also, I hate the fact that people think Italian football is good.

Its really not.
