in my opinion rio ferdinand should be named new manchester united captain in time for the new campaign, i just feel he's grown into the role and with the dimise of garry neville and ryan giggs i think it's time for a new leader and i believe he could even be a better and calmer skipper than keano or maybe even king eric 
he's got a calming influence that goes right through the team and his comittment is un-questionable top class player imo anyone else think he should be give the captaincey full time next season ?
