As the days go by it seems less and less likey that we are going to sign Tevez. If for some reason we dont sign him who would we get? We better have lined up someone else just in case...

dunno mate i cant imagine us not getting tevez, but if we dont i think well just hang on to what weve got. heres a list of some good strikers anyway:

eto'o
ibrahimovic
pato
owen

Id be ecstatic if we signed any of the first three-and owen is still a decent player aswell.

i dont see us signing any other striker a part from tevez.if his transfer does not go through i think anderson can partner rooney upfront and continue with what we have i.e the likes of saha, ole.tevez will be agood catch.

Will people ever get off the stage about Berbatov!! Its not going to happen guys, get over it. He is a great player who had a great first season but he will be at Spurs next year, end of story...
thats correct. with that 40m price, its not logic to have that guy. We should be thinking of Huntelar, Aguero, Robinho.

If we dont get Tevez I reckon Fergie will just leave it. We dont need to sign a striker for the sake of it. If for some reason Tevez isnt a United player at the start of next season then we will have to make do with what we have. And what we have is still pretty lethal=Rooney, Saha, Rossi, Ole, Dong(Giggs, Ronaldo &Anderson can all play up front) and Smith if he is still around. Id rather Tevez came but if he didnt then we still have options.

I agree we have plenty of options up front, if the Tevez deal fell through, I doubt Fergie would buy anyone else.

As they said themselves, United were pretty much done with transfers when the Nani/Anderson deals were done and they left it open that they would only make another signing if something came up. I dont think Tevez is being chased because we need another striker, I think he is being chased because he is a top quality player that we have a chance to sign reasonably cheaply in the short term. Guys like Tevez dont come along that often and United jumped at the chance to get him on a great deal (the 2yr loan proposed) before someone else did.

Yeah it is a mouthwatering prospect, after years of little annoying gaps of quality in the squad there is a real sense that United have covered all the bases here. Personally, I am going out of my mind waiting for the new season, the thought of sitting back and watching in awe as Hargreaves/Carrick break up the opposition attacks and feed Scholes and the little wonder himself has Ronnie, Giggsy, Tevez and Rooney to choose from. Teams are not going to know who to track, twisted blood all over the gaff...

Sergio Aguero
The guy is rubbish, Aguero 38 app. 6 goals - you still think he is good enough ?
Thats for Athletico Madrid, pretty bad if you ask me.

Robinho
Robinho - 63 app and 12 goals. What!!!

Come on, two of the most overrated South Americans around!http://www.manutdtalk.com/forums/images/smilies/mad.gif

Uhhh. Seeing as Robihno is Brazil's top striker and Aguero is top young Argentine striker, I wouldnt call them over rated
