Today at Old Trafford...United weren't playing so you'd think the surface had a
break for the weekend...

..wrong!

Rugby Leagues Super Cup Final (Or something like that) was played there as is
every year recently.

Now, we all saw the rain at Ewood Park, and it was said that the weather was
rather similar in Manchester. So add that to the mucky style of rugby, sliding
players, rucks, scrums etc...

The pitch takes a battering, and United are often critised over the condition of
their home pitch in the latter stages of the seasons.

Do you think that the club should allow the rugby league in for their final?
Obviously money is involved but its the players whi have to seal with it later in
the season...

Views?

(BTW, I'm not a rugby fan!)

Its a football stadium and I hate the fact that the club allow it!

Unless they're getting millions, then why the heck do it and ruin the pitch? Our
pitch is an embarrassment at times and this event is doing us no favours...and
consider the torrential conditions this evening!

Concerts are grand IMO, but Rugby cuts up the pitch and ruins it!

I've seen local pictches near me...lovely and well managed and the next week
they're ruined because of a stupid ruggers match!

Yep...the only 5 star rated one in England....theres such strict conditions for a stadium
to pass to get the rating...from the lights to the number of photographers that can fit
behind each goal!!

Anfield, Villa Park and a few others have 4 stars...and the Emriates not even 4!!!:p

Anywhos, sorry of going off topic there:eek:lol
