it's a silly decision when you consider the condition the pitch gets into every year , although it has nothing to do with the rugby it's because the stadium is so high and the wind can't air the ground that cause's the real problem.but still we should minimalise the games at the end of the day utd can pay the penalty if it stops us performing our flowing football for a number of games.
lower down the leagues there are a few dual purpose stadiums these days and the football/rugby does not really ruin the , pitch to my surprise.
