If you're willing to pay it, then go for it. There will be loads there, and I'm sure you'll get talking to someone and have a good ol' piss up.

£3 is nothing, considering it's a pound usually on matchdays to get into Platt's.

Not sure on an exact number they are expecting. They must hope for a lot, must be a money-spinner for them.

hi all tinkin bout headin over to manchester for the CL final from dublin and was wonderin were's the bestpub to watch the match as i only ever go to the trafford bar. wheres platts?

Anyway, from the Meagastore, carry on walking away from the South side of the stadium towards the north. Staying on SMBW road. Go over the bridge (over canal) away from the stadium, and walk to the bottom of that road, past the Premier Inn (or Golden Tulip whatever it's called nowadays) hotel. Then turn right and it's on your left across the road.

me and my mate were ticket numbers 399 and 400!!!....so it looks like there shall be LOADS of people considering theres still 3 weeks till the game.

a hatch with the big tent/marquee, with all the boyos chantin away?




Im from Dublin too and in '99 we bought tickets to the Burlington Hotel,
and had a savage night with 100's of United fans. They advertised a night
so we went for it. Im hoping some big pub/venue/hotel will put on a night
for the final. Pay a few bob in and spend a great night with loads of United fans.
Dont wont to be watching it with your bitter Scouser fan mates

Yes that 3 pound can go towards the matchday programme for the first home game next season

I know where you are coming from, and agree to a certain extent, however...

It surely won't be free to rent out the pub for a night, they have to find some way to fund it.

Does anyone know if platt's bar is child friendly? My 9 year old would love to go.

On matchday's Sam Platts allows children in when with an adult. (and obviously they can't drink alcohol ).

Unsure whether this will be changed for the final occasion, though. Best to contact MUST and see what they have to say to be certain.

The marquee is going to be there, there will be screens inside there. Plus, 3 rooms inside the actual pub will have screens.

I was at the game yesterday, but I never got to Platts. I got into Manchester at 12! 20 minutes to get up to the ground, and by the time I got my self sorted with stuff, it was about 25 to 1. Got to my seat just as they players were coming out.

Was meant to go in Platts yesterday as it was my mates birthday!

The problem with the Bishops is that it will be packed, probably more than a matchday

You need to get in the hours before to ensure you get in, never mind get a good place. If you have a ticket for Platts, then you'll definately get in.
