Maybe we have made the first signing of the summer already.....
If we signed Renato Augusto we would have a really exciting CM-pair for the furture. Anderson and Renato could be great, with Anderson laying deeper, orchestrating all the attacking moves and Renato bursting forward with his explosive pace and eagle-eyed vision.

Id much rather our first signing of the summer to be in a postion we really need. Eg a new striker or right back(maybe left back too?)

With Scholes, Anderson, Carrick, Hargreaves and other players who can play there for us, (Fletcher, O'Shea) i don't see much need to sign another CM especially for big money.

I can only see this happening if SAF sells Carrick AND Fletcher. I honestly can't see him selling Carrick though, unless its a bid we can't refuse. Or maybe if we sign him, but leave him at Flamengo for another season or two or loan him out to another club?
