Fergie : "Outstanding Ji-Sung Park..."

I'm gonna keep it short and simple

I think he's been amoung the most consistant performers this season

I think this is his best season for us, not in the terms of scoring but in the terms of consistant performances

He's been putting a lot of pressusre on the opponents, almost no one goes past him and he is capable of repeating action after action after action

Just in Spurs away match he won us at least 5 corners -and hardly gets the credit he deserves

People fail to see that he pushes defenders into mistakes and always penetrates the flanks thus leaving the space behind him for fullbacks to make crosses ( but the problem is that our fullbacks either can't cross (evra ) or use them rarely (neville, rafael )

some players have 5-6-7 threads I think he deserves THIS one .

well done Park !

MANCHESTER, England (AFP) – Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted Nani has a future at Manchester United and attributed the Portuguese winger's lack of first-team opportunities this season to the form of Korean rival Park Ji-Sung.
Nani, who was substituted at half-time during the 5-2 win over Tottenham at the weekend, has started only six Premier League games this season and not finished any of them.

That has fuelled reports the 22-year-old will be offloaded barely two years after United paid 14 million pounds (20.4 million dollars) to buy him from Sporting Lisbon.

But Ferguson said he still had faith in the winger. "He has been unlucky this season," the Scot told Manchester United Official Web Site. "The form of Park Ji-Sung has been absolutely outstanding and most of the time has kept Nani out of the team.

Very consistant. But nowhere near outstanding.

This is coming from a person who thinks Berbatov is *****, ad Park is outstanding. What the ****.

Consistently average player. Much like Fletcher.
Yes, Park is, but I think Fletcher can produce a fair few above-average performances.

I think Fletcher's becoming more of a first-teamer, whereas I think Park will always just be a good squad player.

CROoney's not consistent at all. He has his favourites and then distorts the truth to match his side of the argument. That's why he fails so often.

Let's be honest though, when Anderson, Hargreaves, Carrick and Scholes are fully fit and in form, Fletcher is getting nowhere near the team sheet.

well let me see - if I recall correctly rio Ferdinand said that Fletcher was "one of our most important players " and you didn't use your sarcasm on him, and now SAF calls Ji sung outstanding (the reason why I named the thread like this ) , something that he failed to use when describing berbatov - in fact most of the time he used phrases "well" or "bellow pair" when he wanted to described Berba's contribution , and yet you're taking a pop at me

well I'll use my phrase on you - "pathetic"

park outstanding , you're having a laugh.
in fairness to thee lad he works his socks off , his big problem is that he has no end product.
he is a fantastic squad player , he does a decent job when required to fill in , he wouldnt have played so many games this season if we had a decent left winger.

Fletcher is faaaar superior to Park but the point about being consistently average remains.

The difference between them is that you can feel comfortable to have Fletcher in the team in any match and he very rarely lets you down (Tottenham I know). Park is consistently a liability on the team.

Since when was Fergie right?

Like Richie said, he's not exactly going to be calling him shit just before we head into a very important part of the season.

Park's as much in the team because he's been alright, as much as we have no-one else.

He offers NOTHING in attack. Which is where need our front 4.

Of course this statement from Fergie has nothing to do with assuring Nani he'll still be here next season after the recent media frenzy saying he'd be leaving in the Summer.

Not really CROO, as half the comment was from your own opinions :/

I never used word "outstanding " in this post or ever as far as I recall when describing him

I was carefull in choosing words cos I knew some idiots wouldn't wait to take a pop at me

and I guess I was right

True that, although I think Fletcher has played better than Anderson this season. Anderson tends to fade a bit in the second half, and a Giggs-Fletcher midfield has worked well for us this season.
