Park Ji-sung hopes Manchester United are top of the table when he returns to fitness.
The South Korean has been ruled out until December at the earliest by manager Sir Alex Ferguson due to a knee injury.
The midfielder picked up the problem against Blackburn Rovers at the end of March, just as he was proving his worth in the United side.
He missed the title run-in, but is aiming to return to the team in time to help the club's push for trophies in the coming campaign.
"I hope that Manchester United is in the lead when I get back to the team after recharging myself and recovering from my injury," said Park at a press conference in his homeland.
"I really believe our team will be able to be the leading team again.
"For myself I will do my best to help the team, and try and get as many trophies as possible."
