Good news patrice evra has signed a new four year contract , probably on a quarter of ronaldos wages.
This is great news because he is improving every season and getting better and better.
I find it amazing he is not the first choice for the french national team

Great news. I'm glad he signed on, after all those months of speculation. I honestly can't understand why Evra doesn't get in ahead of Abidal. He is just so much better, and on form through-out the seaso, he has been vastly superior and he won the PL & CL. Surely that entitles him to a chance?
The only good news in the summer thus far.. Sigh.
yeah, something positive this week then, i also find it amazing he dosntplay for the french team, abidal is dreadful !
Awesome news, i was starting to worried to lose a skillful, speedy play like Evra, because there rare. Well done! Chuft!

Forget Ramsey, we have Patrice Evra! Oh Yeah! - Drew9, aren't you feeling better already?

Manchester United is pleased to announce French full-back Patrice Evra has signed a four-year extension to his contract, keeping him at the club until at least June 2012.

Sir Alex said: “Patrice has been a key part of the Club's success in the last two seasons. He's developed into one of the best full-backs in world football and his infectious personality has helped build the incredible team spirit that exists at Old Trafford.â€

Evra, 27, was delighted to pledge his future to United, claiming "the last two-and-a-half seasons have been the start of a dream".

"It's a pleasure and an honour to be part of this fantastic side and to be coached by Sir Alex Ferguson and his staff," he said. "United is more than a club – it's a family I am proud to be a part of and that's why it's always been a first choice for me.

“I declared when I arrived that I was coming here not just to play but to win, and United is the ideal place to realise such a dream. It's a privilege to play in front of our fantastic fans and I'm sure the success we've earned in the last two seasons confirms the history of this club and will be the start of something even more special.â€

great news.
wouldnt be complaining if our back 4 was the same for many years to come.
evra got to be up with top left backs in the world.
lightning quick,
good in the air for a little guy, and consistently good.
who would have thought it when he made that horrible debut at citeh a couple years back.
Brilliant news. Definitely has to be rated as one of the top left backs in the world. His display this season were consistantly top class and i thought he should of been in the team of the year ahead of Clichy.
i so happy Evra signed a new contract best left back in the world
No surprise really.....he was always going to sign. I mean why would he leave?
Ronaldo should take a leaf out of his book.
it's great to see Pat..seal a new contract...great player...evolved a lot since he came..keep on doing the great work Pat!!!...
Absolutley brilliant news, well done patrice.Everyone should read Evras statement on!!!Fax a copy to Ronny and remind him what Man United are all about.Sort Tevez deal now and w set fair.Viva Carlito!!!
Clichy and Evra have been pretty equal this season. Both outstanding left backs.

Evra seemed knackered as the season tailed off, so that's why Clichy was in the Toty.

knackered maybe...but he still did the business every week.
He played 48 games this season and he was consistent
throughout. Imho he is the best left back in the World. Can anyone name
a better one?
Clichy is young and had a great season but Evra gives us more going forward.
