He played 48 games this season and he was consistent
throughout. Imho he is the best left back in the World. Can anyone name

Clichy is young and had a great season but Evra gives us more going forward.

clichy is without doubt a class full back but he is prone to long spells on the sidelines also his concentration and decision making can be suspect at times, i would put that down to age.evra is the more complete of the 2 he has all the attributes of a world class defender and to be consistent over 48 games of a seriously hard season is phenomonal.
all round its great news and at least he has shown loyalty to the club

Locking up evra is essential for us to have any longevity at low goals against. He is the most reliable in our defence , he has only been beaten a few times this year, he dosent fall asleep!
