Its because of the way the stadium is built apparently. It blocks out what little sunlight Manchester gets.

Its always bad though.

And what's worse is that it is to our disadvantage.

For the best passing/attacking team in the PL to be playing on a pitch like that is a disgrace.

Plus cause we've had 4 home game in 2 weeks
Wear and tear, no recovery time for the pitch

you can't blame the groundsmen as they are among the best , to be fair the number of games this times of year plus the weather and the way they have to cope with the pitch because of the height of the stands its always going to be crap this time of year. even though they have the massive heat machines on them all the time

The groundsman had sais that it was the 20th event on the grass this term,that added with the terrential rain ect,theres not alot to be done! Time to ban the Rugby final on there me thinks!!!!

I agree it was bad but thats what happens everywhere at this time of year - bad weather, lots of fixtures.

Did anyone watch the Aberdeen vs Rangers game yesterday on Setenta? Now THAT was a bad pitch! On a close up shot of a player running down the by-line towards the corner, he just about tripped up when a big sod of turf came away from him turning on it!

With all the injuries - mostly occurring during home games - you do have to wonder if the pitch is part of the problem.
