Even with Colocinni their back line, its pretty terrible. I think we could get 3 or more, provided we actually sign someone.

Hopefully we'll start off the season in style.

Rooney should be back and he'll make a huge difference. Winning the Shield
will also be a great boost to the team getting to lift more silverware should make
them hungry for even more.

My line-up.

-------------------------------------Van Der Sar-------------------------------------
-
---Brown-----------------Ferdinand (C) ------------Vidic-------------------Evra---
-
---Fletcher----------------Carrick------------------Scholes--------------Giggs---
-
---------------------------------Rooney-----------------------------------------------
-
----------------------------------------Tevez------------------------------------------

Bench; Kusczazk, Neville, O'Shea, Rodrigo, Campbell, Rafael, Gibbson

Wouldn't take any risks here whatsoever. Just set up what we know works and
get te ball rolling. Nothing stupid to start off with.

As you are Jazz, I'll be OT bound so I can't wait.

My prediction - Manchester United Win 3-0

Owen isn't even fully match fit...and you're giving him a little too much credit there. You're forgetting who we have in defense. ;)
2-0 to Man Utd. Any other time in the season and i would have went even higher.

This will probably be our starting line up, however having been at Wembley today im not taking to Fletcher on the wing, in fact i hate it.
Takes a huge dimension away from our game which is natural width, i think we struggle without this in our game, he quality back up for the center midfield position but not for the wing. I really like the look of Fraizer Campbell but we do need a new striker so that theres not too much pressure on the boy, he has bags of potential though and he nearly bagged a goal today when he came on aswell.
I think the Da Silva twins could be usefull subs next weekend if we're struggleing against Newcastle.

Wow feels surreal talking about the first game of the season already  :)

So ... I reckon we'll go with either the formation Fergie has been playing pre season 4-4-1-1 but if Rooney plays (highly probable) Will be a cross between that and 4-4-2 if you get me :p

VDS

Brown - Rio - Vida - Evra

Fletcher - Carrick - Scholes - Giggsy

Rooney (As Fergie said he will play him in his best position which is here)
Tevez

I'll go 4-0 for us, we didn't seem to hit it off with the goals today but with Rooney back he will fire us to victory with 2 goals from him, one for Tevez and one for Scholesy :)
