First home win, how'd you assess the players performances?

Here's my outlook on the team's display...

Van Der Sar - 7 - Practically nothing to do. Almost caught ot in the first half, yet
managed to deal with everything he needed to. Did well on corners and crosses
aswell for a change which is a great sign

Neville - 9 - Back to his best? He was incredible...tackle....tackle...crosss...tackle
and on and on. Showed great awareness, perfect timing in the challenges and
crossed well, most of the time. Also managed a very neat back-heal to Rio in the
second half! Very good display from our captain

Ferdinand - 8 - Solid. What more can I say? Seems to fancy himself as a
midfielder/forward recently as he made a great run or two today and also found
himself in shooting positions on a few occasions almost managing to squeeze one
in. Does he ever have a bad game?

Vidic - 7 - Again, super really. A bit quiet, but he'd nothing really to do. Did his job
well, and that's all that matters in the end.

Evra - 9 - This kid is incredible! His link-up play with Rooney and others is magical!
Great balance, great touch, super passing, lovely skills and a great brain for the
game. Easily the best left back in the world right now
.

Ronaldo - 6 - Dived...moaned...lost the ball...step over...dived....scored a penalty
(Totally undeserved one too)...subbed

Fletcher - 7 - I think he's a super asset. Great engine. All round tidy player

Anderson - 6 - Not one of his better days. Heavy touches and bad decisions at
times. Just a bit edgy for me today

Park - 7 - Probably the most underrated player at the club right now. Huge player
for these sort of games...

Tevez - 6 - Lacked something today. Not quite sure what though. Tried hard but it
never happened for him. He can do better

Berbatov - 8 - We saw the ability of him today. Almost scored a great header, and
gave some great passes in the second half. Great touch and deserves his first
United goal

Scholes - 9 - How he bossed the game after coming on. Should have bagged a
goal too. He's a true legend and fully deserving of his place in the team. He
showed us why today, and must start the midweek

Rooney - 9 - Answered his critics today, by scoring a sublime effort and linking up
superbly with his team-mates. Hes a special talent ad its there for all to see. On
his way to becoming the next true United legend

Nani - 6 - Good shot, good free kick...greedy in his play and self centered. Needs
to mature and realise that there's no "I" in team

Van Der Star : 7 Done nothing but he looked more comfortable relaxed and constant than other matches plus he used to catch the balls instead of punching them

Neville : 7,5 Normal performance by our captain who still is in the road to full fitness and form

Ferdinand : 8,5 Rock as usual

Vidic : 8 Great performance by the world greatest defender

Evra : 9 Was very good at attacking as he was dribbling and causing trouble all over the field

Ronaldo : 8 Good performance by the ungrateful slave, he got a goal and assist even tho the goal was a penalty that the ref is jerk for counting it, he dived allot and he was so greedy as he was able to give us one or two more goals if he passed instead of shooting in many situations

Fletcher : 7,5 Cool and Great performance by our scotch midfielder whos proven himself this season

Anderson : 9 Moved to the left moved to right made Bolton defence look like ***** :D he was the M.O.T.M imo with his moving and passing GREAT JOB ANDERSON :)

Park : 8 Moved all over the field created chances and even helped the defence, great performance again and great workrate as usual

Tevez : 6,5 Looked very decent and i think he was little bit shifted to the midfield which affected his performance a bit

Berbatov : 7 Had a great chance he was well composed on the ball but i still don't think a 30m player should play like this

Subs

Scholes : 7 Good performance by Ginger boy today, and the first time he appears since Pompey

Nani : 6,5 Greedy hell yeah but not like the Dream knight with shiny armor Ronaldo

Rooney : 8,5 Changed the match when he came in by burning the midfield with his awesome pace and the great understanding with every player on the field as he went easily and moved to the area with swift passing, plus he scored a bloody pretty goal :)

Fletcher 8 Great , industrious and hard working

Anderson 7 A bit sloppy with his passing ,Solid

Park 7 Good workrate , could have done better

Think I'm repeating myself, but here goes:

VDS - 6 Wasn't tested much, but dealt with everything in an assured manner

Neville - 8 Solid performance and the kind of performance that drives your team mates.

Ferdinand - 8.5 Great performance to stifle the Bolton attack

Vidic - 8 Great performance that I'm only marking lower than Rio, because he was less visible

Evra - 9 MOTM Almost flawless performance. Great defensive work and bombed up the flank regularly to the dismay of the Bolton defense. Just wished he crossed more often.

Ronaldo - 8 Trying a bit too hard - meaning doesn't seem to be his uual/natural self. still selfish though  , but he definitely provides extra cutting edge and penetration. Don't think he dived for the penalty. It was just a bad refereeing decision.

Fletcher - 6 Didn't do anything particularly badly, but was hustled off the ball close to Edwin's goal and his decision-making when passing is still bad. Most of all didn't have a lot of visibility. How anyone can doubt that it is only a matter of time before Possebon and Gibson are picked before him is beyond me.

Anderson - 8 This guy kept the midfield ticking. Constantly came back to collect the ball from the defenders, kept possession well, played neat passes. He didn't distribute the ball like Carrick and Scholes would, but he was economical with the ball and rarely was second best in any challenge.

Park - 7 Tried tirelessly and ran his heart out. His final ball is poor though.

Berbatov - 7 Nice to see him do some more legwork today and this was his best match since joining Man Utd. His first touch is amazing though, It has to be said and he played two killer passes that would have been goals on another day.

Tevez - 7 Ran tirelessly and and was a headache for the Bolton defence, but he never really threatened the goal. He also made some bad decisions during the game, passing when he should have shot and vice versa and sometimes being fancy when a simple pass would have suffuced.

Don't usually give ratings for subs, but Rooney changed the games when he came on. Scholes had more impact coming off the bench than in the previous games this season and Nani should have passed the ball more when he came on. Some of his attempts on goal were justified, but he had better options for some and didn't pass to his team mates.

Van Der Sar - 6. He didn't have to save anything and was good during the corners where he is most volatile these days.

Neville - 8. Played rather well throughout the game with good energy and link up play with park and Anderson. Was great on the wing.

Ferdinand
- 8. Always very very good with his defending. He was enterprising enough to go on teh other side of the half and almost scored a goal from inside the box.

Vidic - 8. He was also good with his defending and gave good long balls to players in free space.

Evra
- 9. Absolutely fantastic with his attacking display on the wings and also with his defending. He was the one who kept attcking constantly and kept whippingin crosses from the left.

Ronaldo
- 8. He was the most forward player for Manchester United during the first half. Played well for most part of the game but was too selfish at times. Eventually got us and undeserving penatly which he himself scored to calm our nerves. He was also part of the second goal and also hit the post early on in the second half.

Fletcher
- 7. Average in the midfield yesterday and did the job he had to. Did play a good role in the middle with his passing and also his defending on the counter.

Anderson - 6. Well not the best of games for the young lad from Brazil. Was a little to heavy with his touches at times. He played some delightful crosses as well as some not so good ones. Could have been better.

Park - 7.5. Almost scored a goal for us yet again in the first half when the Botlon keeper spilled the ball in his path. Was full of energy and played well overall throughout the game.

Tevez - 6. It wasn't going right for him during the match. Left frustrated with not being able to play aginst Chelsea a big performance was due from him but the frustration just carried on against Bolton. Never got in the game and neither had any kind of joy in front of goal.

Berbatov
- 7.5. Subdued most of the times during the game, he came up with brilliant and bright displa of football for few moments. Almost got his first goal with a header during the first half and did a brilliant dribble around 4 defenders to give the ball to Ronaldo who just couldn't score.

Scholes - 8.5. Controlled the entire game since coming on as a sub. Awesome quality in his crosses and passes. Could have scored twice with the first chance being a one on one with the keeper.

Rooney - 8.5. Brilliant since coming on as a sub, he invariably scored with a peach of a finish. He was part of every move United made during the later stages of the game.

Nani - 6.5. He created a lot of chances for himself but couldn't bag any chance with most of his shots going high up into the stands. He was too selfish at times and if he would have looked for support we could have had a 4-0 or a 5-0 scoreline.

I'm surprised that Ronaldo's getting high scores!

The only thing he really did in the game was dribble a shot of the post, dive for a
penalty, score it and back heal for Rooney.

How he's getting higher then Evra/Scholes/Rooney bemuses me TBH. Is the band-wagon re-building???

How the (*cough*) can you say that?

It was a disgraceful attempt to cheat and Styles will and should be dropped to
lower leagues next weekend IMO.

Even Fergie admitted he thought it was a perfect tackle.

Oh, and he went down like a sack of spuds at various other stages too, throwing
his arms around like a child in a toystore not getting the newset toy...One of
which almost cost us a goal, but Muamba couldn't hit a barn door with that effort!

Ronaldo dived all the time but the penalty wasn't a dive it was a "perfect tackle" but Ronaldo feel over when his body slammed the body of the tackler
the Ref is idiot, Ronaldo didn't even ask for the penalty and its not the first time Styles make a mistake
just watch the bbc highlights and modm they showed the other reffing mistakes stupid moron stykes made ;)

Bottom line...

Ronaldo dived for the penalty and conned the ref, who was a fool for buying it...

Back to the player ratings please!

How can anyone say Ronaldo dove? The guy one the ball fair and square, but his momentum caused him to go through Ronny, which is why he fell. He didn't fall on his own accord. Its not Ronaldo's fault that the ref wasn't in the proper position to make that call. Why do you think he didn't even celebrate?
