hate these stupid type of questions.

not our choice but SAF choice as to who he wants as his number two. I am happy to accept whoever he chooses.

Thats like saying lets not talk about potential transfers, of course we're going to debate who could be the next assistant manager because our current one looks very likely to leave. Just a pointless post really

Basically as i've said in many posts i believe Laurent Blanc will manage a top class European club one day and what better way to prepare than to learn some more under Sir Alex for a few seasons? and in my opinion he is a realistic succesor to the great man himself.
my point was not pointless.

with potential transfers you can comment on games you have seen that player play in and search on you tube.

what is the reasoning behind your choice of laurent blanc. what track record are you using to come to that kind of reasoning.

like i said its pointless as fergie will have someone already in mind. my personal opinion opinion is to keep it in house using one of the reserve/youth team coaches and promoting to asst manager.

Your stupid comment of saying Blanc will manage a top club one day just dont make any sense. There have been plenty of top players who have moved on to become garbage in the managerial stakes. Your comment suggests blanc will be a success but as he aint won anything as a manager, i cant understand where that comment comes from.

Bit like me saying Jaap Stam to become asst manager as he will manage a big club one day!!!!!

Well lets get this straight he's not just been a good player, i say this on the basis he's taken Bordeaux to 2nd in the french league in his very 1st season, an achivement when you look back 12 months and they were no more than a mid table side, so no my point was very valid thank you very much, as for yours well it simply wasn't if you dont want to debate who will be the next assistant then why post anything at all ? And then all your bright ideas about putting someone within the club is all well and good but then we will need someone else to replace them wont we brains. Lastly it's nothing like talking about Jaap Stam, he hasn't had any experience of coaching a club of reasonable size has he so you've shown yourself up again there pal, apart from that couldnt agree more with you :p
oh and he hasn't won anything as he's only been a Manager for a season so get your facts right and give him a chance.
French League aint exactly Premiership, is it, brains.

Like saying get strachan cos look how good he's doing in scottish league.

Going back to my main point, Blanc wont get the job cos he is the "fans favourite". If he does get it, it cos fergie wants him and fergie alone.

That is why i was saying debating it aint worthwhile.

(and LASTLY!!! Try putting your point across, not forcing it onto people to accept as right)

It's a forum you muppet, this is a thread to debate who will the next Assistant will be so thats what we're all doing and you saying stupid things like the French league isn't the strongest, we all know that, but we also know that he has done a great job to turn a mid table side into runners up in one season with minimal funds or should i say next to nothing to spend. We all know Fergie will pick who 'He' wants but he will also pick who he wants to buy, who he wants to sell, when he wants to retire etc, i could go on about that subject forever, if everyone had your attitude then there wouldnt be a forum, basically my opinion is that Laurent wont only be a very good assistant through tactics, and his contacts he could also be a very good replacement for Fergie in 2/3 seasons. Im not putting my point across so people have to accept it as right, all im saying is i've seen a lot of Blancs games last season and i saw him a lot in a united shirt when he was here, i know that a great player doesn't neccarsarily make a great coach/manager but i do think this could be an acception, nothing against you pal but i think your dismissing a very decent man and coach just because he has started his career in the French league, everyone has to start somewhere, look at Paul Ince :)
I will watch Bordeaux with anticipation as they tear teams apart in this years Champs League.

He must be great if he can get David Bellion, one of Sir Alex's biggest flops and turn him round into a competent striker. If fact because Bellion is second behind Benzema as top scorer lets sign him instead.

Shouldnt knock the bloke cos he plays in Ligue 1. LOL!!!!!:D

P.S - Think your enter on keyboard dont work

Lol your really not getting this are you, im not going to bother. Because they will be eliminated pretty early on will not reflect what kind of manager he is will it, if you had knowledge of football you'd clearly know that, instead you've probably just searched the net looking for whos done what in the French league well done for that, but we're going of course with this debate, point is he has done an acceptional job with his resources end of, and weather you like it or not he might be an option, we've obviously offended you for talking about Sir Alex's next Assistant manger lol :)
agreed. better to agree to disagree and end it there!!!

if fergie wants an ex liverpool no2 then so be it(even though some fans will be too thick to see past the liverpool connection). If he wants blanc then so be it.

Our no1 manager is much more important than our number 2 so whatever fergie says goes in my book.

Anyone on here willing to question the man.

Brian Kidd
well said. get someone who knows the club and its heritage in. None of the Blanc, Laudrup, Pele, Maradona rubbish. OK last two i know bit too far but we need a good coach not a good manager.

Kidd went along training the kids who you dont win anything with and was respected.

I'm still going for Laurent Blanc, no matter how much Jazz gets onto me about it :p

But I wouldn't mind Laudrup either.

As I said up there ^

:p
like i have just said. coach and manager are two different roles and require different temprements. It has also got to be someone who compliments fergie's strengths as a club manager.
