Man Utd taking top stars to Fife

Owen Hargreaves is expected to play against Dunfermline​

Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson intends bringing a star-studded side to East End Park for Tuesday's testimonial for Dunfermline captain Scott Thomson.

United will also send a side to Northern Ireland to play Glentoran the following evening.

But summer signing Owen Hargreaves will be joined by Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Scotland midfielder Darren Fletcher as United head to Fife.

Carlos Tevez will also play should he complete his move from West Ham.

Tevez is expected to end his protracted transfer by signing for the Reds early this week.

It comes after the Premier League accepted a proposal on Friday that will see the player's representatives pay West Ham a fee in the region of £2m.

Wes Brown and Michael Silvestre are other top Old Trafford names set to feature against Dunfermline - manager Ferguson's former club.

Is the offside law different in Scotland than England? Eagles was well offside but play was allowed to continue until he actually touched the ball, then the flag went up.

The same happened to Rooney just now, the flag did not go up until Rooney actually touched the ball. It confused the hell out of Rooney!!
