............................................James..............................................

Brown....................Rio............................Vidic........................Evra

Essien...............Fabregas.................Mascherano..............Ronaldo

............................Rooney.........................Torres............................

Brown edges it over Sagna as he played more games (Sagna was injured), was magnificent at centre back versus Barca and scored against the Scousers!

Subs:
VDS
Flamini
Adeybayor
Bentley
Terry

Same but i would change rooney för Adebayor. and that is just because adebayor made better results than rooney based on what they are able to do.

Adeybayor had a good season for the first few months but when it came to crunch time, he didn't produce.

Unlike Master Rooney, who orchestrated everything good we did against Wigan and who will, I'm nearly sure, cause havoc for Chelsea on Wednesday.

Plus, overall Rooney is the better player of the two.

It is good team, but Brown and Rooney were not the best in Premier League...
I love him...but I dont agree that they were very good...

Rooney shouldn't be in there. He's a great player
of course, but this season wasn't his best and
Adebayor scored over 30 goals. Rooney was out
injured for periods of the season which undoubtedly
ruined his momentum, but we can't use that as an
excuse. Adebayor was the better player of the two
this season.
Great team, but I hate to do this, but I have to question Rooney in the team.

He's not been his best this season. Hopefully we'll see him back to his consistent
best next season rather then the spurts of excellence we witnessed this season.

Newcastle was the one game that he really took hold of and excelled in front of
our eyes!
Mine would be...

James
Sagna-Rio-Vidic-Evra
Ronaldo-Gerrard-Fabregas-Young
Torres-Adebayor

I might of put Young in but you can't leave Essien out imho.
Why the heck is Rooney in the team surely it should of been Adebeyor.
Brown at RB? I don't think so!

He has has a good season by his standard, but is still a liability at times.

I might not have watched every Arsenal match, but every game I did watch Bakary Sagna was faultless. The guy is a beast, runs tirelessly up and down the right and is good defensively and going forward.

To me, Bakary Sagna, has been the best right back all season.

Essien would get the nod ahead of Mascherno in my team.

I had a bit of an internal wrestle match about Wayne Rooney's inclusion, but I think even though his finishing has been less than good this season, he means so much more to Man Utd, than any stat could prove. The man is a modern day warrior and a hero.

Rooney - Torres

Fabregas - Gerrard - Ronaldo

Essien

Evra - Ferdinand - Vidic - Sagna

James

Subs
Hart
Richards
Anderson
Adebayor
Cruz

--------------------James----------------------

------Rio-----------Vidic------Laursen-----------
--------------------Flamini--------------------------

Ronaldo------Gerrard------Fabregas------Young

-------Torres------------Adebayor-----------

I couldn't leave Martin Laursen out who has scored a ridiculous amount
of goals and been inspirational at times and well worked.

So Ill go 3 at the back cos its my team :p and they would kick ass....
Flamini had a great season as a destructor in the middle.
The front 2 pick themselves as do the midfielders imo.

I think Essien is one of the best central midfield players in the World but his versatility has cost him for me. He's been playing at right-back too often for Chelsea. With Makelele getting on a bit and Bosingwa coming in I think Essien will be playing in his best position throughout next season.

If I'd picked a 4-5-1 formation then Essien would have had a good chance of being in there - but it's a tough choice between him and Flamini.

Great point, thats why I left Essien out of this team.....
There is another thread on a World 11 and I put him in that team cos
he has undoubted class. A monster

ofc Rooney is better if you look at their best day. But dont forget that Adebayor carried Arsenal on his shoulders all year, i really believe that should be added to his place at the " team of the year ". Adebayor better then Rooney this year? absolutely.
Here's my team of the season!

David James

Bacary Sagna - Rio Ferdinand - Nemanja Vidic - Patrice Evra

Cristiano Ronaldo - Anderson - Cesc Fabregas - Gareth Barry

Wayne Rooney - Fernando Torres

A good lot of Manchester United players in there, but then again, they had an absolute stormer of a season :D!

I agree fully. Personally I thought Tevez had a better season than Rooney.
