I'll be more interested to see how Kightly performs as we were interested in him when he was at Gray's and he was described as 'The Ryan Giggs of Non-League Football' lol

Nigel Clough had steered Burton Albion for nearly a whole season aiming to join the football league, one game off it and fate takes a hand. A deflected goal gave Cambridge a 2-1 win to take it all to the last game of the season.

Cambridge edged out Salisbury to secure at least a play-off spot and ensure the Blue Square Premier title race will go down to the final day of the season.

Leaders Burton are three points above the U's with a better goal difference. Cambridge must beat Altrincham next Sunday and hope Torquay beat Burton, while making up five goals on Albion.

Andy Parkinson's deflected strike after a fine run won the game for the U's after Charlie Griffin's header cancelled out Scott Rendell's strike.

Rochdale only had to win to go into League One for the first time in their history, and lost at home 2-0 to Darlington.

Rochdale's hopes of gaining automatic promotion were hit as they were beaten at home by Darlington. The hosts dominated for long periods but wasted several chances and were behind after four minutes thanks to Jason Kennedy's stunning 30-yarder. Ricky Ravenhill's cross was then headed on to the post by Pawel Abbott, the rebound hitting Rochdale defender Rory McArdle and creeping into the net.Chris Dagnall had earlier missed two good chances for the home side.

Leicester go straight back into the Championship after winning League One title.

Matty Fryatt grabbed his 30th and 31st goals of the season as Leicester saw off Southend and earned the win that sealed their promotion as champions.Southend created the better chances, but Leicester broke the deadlock after Simon Francis had handled in the box. Fryatt confidently fired his spot-kick low to the right and then made it 2-0 when he headed home from close range.Southend came closest when Theo Robinson hit the post from range, but they could not spoil Leicester's party.

FC United into 3rd place after a great 1 - 0 win away at Ilkeston.
Now in the playoff places, BPA next week a must win game.
Can we get 4 promotions in 4 seasons ? In Margy we trust.:first:

Add to that AFC Wimbledon gaining promotion today to make it a really good day. :first:

I really didn't think FC United would make promotion this year, it was a bridge too far as far as I was concerned. IF they do it, I will be absolutely delighted.
