Amen. A truer word has never been spoken.

Sell Ronaldo for £70mil plus Sergio Ramos and he's ours. Then buy Kaka and Benzema with the money, with Saha and Silvestre going to Lyon.

Because then he wouldn't have moved from A to B? Newton's Law of Inertia clearly states that:

Every body perseveres in its state of being at rest or of moving uniformly straight forward, except insofar as it is compelled to change its state by force impressed.
Lol, ignore me.

I don't want him with United next season. We can benefit more by selling him. Why would any United fan want someone who has disrespected the club to the level that Ronaldo has?

Im sure we wish it was easy as that :(

Ramos is a very good player but i don't think we'll be seeing him in a United shirt. If Ronaldo stay's I'm sure we all won't complain!

Next season, I will bump this thread when Ronaldo wins us another game.

You know nothing about the whole situation, it's Marca taking it all out of proportion.

We can benefit more from selling him? HAHA. Never heard so much rubbish in all my life.

Financially, or tactically.

Losing our best player, how the hell does that benefit the team? He's won us games by himself, and you know it.

The Glazers know that with Ronaldo staying will generate more income, than the money we sell him for - which won't be paid up front, but on the never never.

Media whore, believing everything the media says.

Stick by your players for god's sake. He plays for Manchester United and deserves our full support.

I expect you were one of the "Man U fans who wanted him out afta da wc06, init!"

Lmao. You are a complete idiot.

Firstly, you haven't considered that replacing Ronaldo with Ramos, Benzema and Kaka would be far more beneficial to the team. All of those names are plausible transfers in the upcoming weeks.

Secondly, you're so convinced that no one could ever not want to play for your club that you ignore what has been on TV being visibly said from RONALDO'S MOUTH. Did you think the whole saga was a conspiracy?

Go back to your streetcorner and spray paint a wall or something. I'm not a manu muppet.

Am I the only one who isn't entirely certain about Benzema? Either way he's committed to Lyon. That loyalty does impress me.

That aside I'm still not entirely certain about him as a striker. I mean I remember against Rangers his brace.

It struck me as more a result of the defence fallling apart. Both goals were scored from long balls which should have been dealt with but weren't.

Maybe I just have ridiculously high standards. :) Still he's been a passenger at the Euro's. He's seems sort of inconsistent.

I don't know. I'd prefer Huntelaar. If their's one thing we know about United it's that goal poachers fit right in. Huntelaar is a poacher. RVN come again.

First of all, surely there is more benefit of keeping him. He is the worlds best player and then footballing aside, Madrid estimate he will be worth half a billion quid for them. They surely wont pay us that.
Secondly, Ronaldo has said, from his mouth (as you care to put it) that he will stay at the club. "I stay", in his great English. He has at no point said he wishes to be at Madrid next season, just that he cant promise on his future and he wants to play for Madrid one day.
Thirdly, a huge transfer kitty might not be so good. Benzema has pledged commitment to Lyon which is commendable and added to that he has only shone in the French League. Not enough for me. Malouda shone in the French league and frankly he is rubbish.
Milan have come out and said Kaka is not for sale and that he will stay at Milan for the entirety of his career. Now while that is a bold statement, it shows that we will not be getting him without a fight.
Ramos, I assume you would have him on the right. He prefers to play at centre back, a position we cannot accomodate him for and is a reluctant right back. If you watched the Spain game yesterday, he was hideously at fault for the goal they conceded. While I have not seen much of him, admittedly, and have heard good things, such fundamental errors have no place at Utd.

My point is, you are too quick to condemn a player that has done wel for us, and more importantly has adapted to the team and to the league. We all know that rashly bringing in a large number of players can upset the balance for one, and they might just not play well, be it because they arent as good as we think or because they cant adapt to the league.

And you shouldnt be so quick to speak against someone that has a difference of opinion to you. Thats the whole point of a forum.

We are building a side, a side that is still growing despite winning all there is to win. We would do well to add to that side without taking anything important away. Ronaldo has huge end product, and that benefits our other gems like Rooney, who benefits from less pressure to score goals. Finding someone to replace the end product that Ronaldo provides, 40 goals and God knows how many assists, will be no easy feat.
For me, a side minus Ronaldo and plus Kaka, Benzema and Ramos will be weaker. The balance will have gone, we'll have Ramos out of position and we wont be able to accomodate Kaka and Benzema in our side.

I responded like I did because the person I was replying to attacked me personally and came across like a total fool.

I know Ramos prefers playing CB but I've seen many superb performances by him for Real Madrid as RB. Kaka and Benzema could both be accommodated. Kaka simply playing like he mostly plays for Brazil as a winger where Ronaldo usually did and Benzema in the striker rotation. How many times this season have we seen Ronaldo, Anderson or Nani be put as a forward because others were resting or had slight strains? Quite a few times. And United is chasing 7 trophies next season. We need everything we can get.

I also don't want someone who is unfaithful to the club playing for us. Get rid of him I say. I don't see why the side would become unbalanced. Ronaldo did say he liked the club a few times. He more recently said 'he likes playing in a white kit', 'will have to see what happens in the summer', 'dreams of playing for Real Madrid' etc. And that's ignoring the comments from within United saying he agreed personal terms with Real months ago or his comments at his national team's training ground.

Exaclty what abcdef said.

Calling me an idiot :D Call it me again and I won't take to kindly to it.

DID YOU SEE RONALDO SAY HE WANTS TO GO TO MADRID NOW?
No. You are beliving what Marca are bulling about Ronaldo, which Madrid do for every target they want. Open your eyes.

When the "interviewer" got questioned about asking Ronaldo; he was backtracking, and it was apparently all bull. Apparently.

Kaka is an amazing player, one of the best players in the world, I'm not denying that. However, we don't need him if Ronaldo stays - which is my point. We can get Ramos without selling Ronaldo. But do we REALLY need him? When Wes has just had an amazing season, and Gary Neville is soon to be back (PLEASE BACK TO HIS BEST). We won't get Benzema. Wants to stay in Lyon.

Out of interest, how many games do you get to a season? When did you become a United fan?

Your comments grow more and more worthless as you post. What is that supposed to mean? Ronaldo scoring for Real Madrid? For United? Against United? Obviously he will score goals wherever he goes, he's one of the best players in the world. That's why United should replace him with other people who can score goals. Put Kaka in a good lineup and he's every bit as capable.

I think MU19, that you might have been swayed too much by the Spanish newspapers. You cant believe every "quote" you read.
The nonsense about the Brazilian media was all made up, apparently, but theres as much truth in it as potential lies.
After all, his mother said that he would stay at the club :p

Hi.

I started by saying that Ronaldo should be sold because of his poor attitude to the club etc. and what could be bought with the money or included in the deal. Stephen's inability to communicate his position on the matter in an acceptable manner and his obsession with personal attacks has derailed it slightly though.

I won't die if Ronaldo stays. I just think that more can be done with his sale to Real.

I've read most opinions on the matter, not just the Spanish press. He is unfaithful and thinks he is above showing any level of respect to anyone.

Benzema has not proved himself enough for Man Utd to go for him. He has banged in over 20 goals this season in the French League, Santa Cruz has done that in the PREMIERSHIP. So who would be the better option now?

Idiot.

Ronaldo has been on TV recently saying that his dream is to play for Real, that he won't rule out anything, that his mission with United was to win the league and the European Cup, that he likes playing in a white kit and that he won't comment on his future.

I've supported Manchester United since I was 11 btw. I've only been to a few games. So the fact that you sit in a little red seat in OT more often than I do makes your opinion far greater than mine? You're inarticulate and aggressive with a closed mind. Had you addressed my point of view in a civil manner I would have been more than happy to have a real discussion with you.

How old are you btw?

I was.

Your the one whom weren't discussing it in a proper manner. I was just stating my opinion, on how I strongly disagree with you on this point.

You call me an idiot because I don't agree with you. Sorry hard man, behind your keyboard.

FWIW, I think it matters none how many games you get to a season, to make you a better fan. As long as you know what United stands for, and support United til the end. United > all others.

All reds are equal.

Ronaldo has been a bit of a dick towards United. However, he has also said that he owes a lot to Ferie. Supposedly, saying that he will stay as long as Sir Alex does.

Also, it's Scholesy's dream to play for Oldham. Tevez wants to go back to Boca. Ronaldo is not unsimilar in this situation, about wanting to play in Spain, because he supported Real Madrid as a child, the same with the two aforementioned players.

Whatever your opinion on the bloke. You can't say our team would be better off without him.
