Van der Sar: 7 Made a great save from a first half freekick and was generally solid

O’Shea: 6.5 Poor marking from him in the first half, was getting sucked inwards and leaving people free behind him. Good second half though and did well setting up the winner

Evans: 7 Just doesn't seem to do anything wrong, the slip wasn't hit fault

Vidic: 7 Solid as ever, was fouled for the goal

Evra: 6 Not terrible but end product was poor tonight

Ronaldo: 6 Wasn't happening for him tonight but credit to him for trying to make things happen

Anderson: 3 Absolutely shocking.

Carrick: 6.5 Lovely goal, was decent generally without excelling

Scholes: 6 Struggled to make the impact you'd expect from him, and uncharacteristically gave the ball away in bad areas a couple of times

Rooney: 6 Missed 2 great chances and held on to the ball for too long at times, but worked hard and was always trying to create

Berbatov: 8 Another very, very good performance from him tonight

Subs:

Tevez 9 Massive impact on the match with the goal and his play and movement in general

Giggs 7 Thought he made a good impact too with some good runs though the middle

Park 6.5 Barely on the pitch for 5 minutes but still did some good defensive work

Van der Sar: 7

O’Shea: 6 - partially at fault for the first goal by virtue of his total absense. got better as the game went on

Evans: 6 not a vintage display

Vidic: 6 had a decent game, but should have done better during the first goal. Also continually insisted on hoofing the ball upfield to no one in particular

Evra: 7 not his best, but good and was not often second best against Valencia

Ronaldo: 6 Didn't look happy alll night, but still was full of running and provifef some dangerous moments. Shooting was awful

Anderson: 4 shocking. hardly connected a pass.

Carrick: 6 was poor for most of the game, but did well to score the winner.

Scholes: 5 poor. end of.

Rooney: 6 missed a sitter . had a mixed game. patches of brilliance coupled with moments of sub par passes and decisions.

Berbatov: 7 best player in the first half. Almost created two asists had it nt been for his team mates finishing.

Subs:

Tevez Great impact 9 MOTM

Giggs

Vidic was unlucky the ball bounced where it did. Van der Sar should never have been beaten at his near post. Both equally at fault in my opinion.

O' Shea wasn't at fault for the goal, but there's no way he should be anywhere near man of the match. His positioning was shockingly bad at times and we were exposed down his flank on a few occasions in the first half.
